1-If you try to outbox him, you get mauled. He uses both high guard and head movement. He also cuts the ring very well. He can catch X fighter in the inside and can beat him to death.

2-If you try to outbrawl him, you get mauled even worse. His inside game is probably the best on the planet right now. He has very good punches inside, he uses especially his uppercuts and hooks damn good.

3-If you try to both outbox and outbrawl him, you must be Marvin Hagler. Otherwise, you gonna be dead.

He outboxes boxers and outbrawls brawlers.

    Thoughts?

Yes, it's impossible to beat him because he has an ATG chin.

Golovkin outboxes him for 17 rounds out of 24 and didn't get the decision in either fight

The only way to beat Canelo is to KO him because you will never ever get a decision against him

Or alternatively you need to be a bigger cash cow than Canelo.

I don’t agree that it’s impossible. However, there might not be any current fighters in his weight range who could pull it off. I personally think Bivol and Beterbiev would have the best chance. Joe Smith Jr would probably be capable of knocking him out if he lands the right punch.

His invulnerablity in recent years is more due to the fact that there isn't a really good SMW in the division and he's in the right place in right time , Plant wouldn't be a contender in the Super 6 era let alone a title holder .

And he's arguably lost most of his hard fights but has always been on the favorable end of decisions.

175 is where he starts loosing fights. Beterbiev is too much for him

168 maybe benavidez gives him a good fight

It's not impossible. He has got beaten already at least in 3 fights with Lara, Cotto, and GGG.

Canelo whooped Golovkin. Busted his face up, outlanded him to the body, and landed more power punches.
