It's been a few days now and yet the euphoria of witnessing that performance still wont go away. I feel like I saw not just a divisional ATG, but watched the coronation of a new p4p ATG into the annals of boxing history. It took my breath away. The speed, the movement, the boxing IQ, the gumption and self belief, the stamina, the footwork, the defense, the head movement, the chin, the determination. Usyk is the man. A pure ATG.
I've had to spend a couple hours focused meditation the past few days just to take my mind off it. My brain is all boxing. All I hear when trying to sleep is Usyk's ringwalk music.
I'm just confused why it took you until Saturday to realise this? I'm an AJ fan but went in to the fight thinking he was the underdog and made a lot of money off of Usyk.
You guys always need to destroy everything with your over emotional responses to such fights. Aj sucks, usyk is very good but its not like he dethroned a prime klitschko or so.
If you think that was special wait till you see Deontay Wilder on the 9th October Las Vegas t mobile arena, buy your ppv now.
I thought it was just me. Have been in a generally giddy mood, have rewatched the entire fight with my wife, have been listening to boxing podcasts non-stop. The fact that such a historic fight happened and that it was not a robbery has rekindled my love for what has been a somewhat corrupt sport lately.
I literally cannot wait! Cannot wait to for Fury to send Wilder back to the underworld and retire him.
