Monzon & Robinson are two of the top middleweights ever. Maybe the top two middleweights

Monzon was the master boxer with an unparalleled middleweight record but Robinson is without a doubt, the superior combination puncher and nearly as tall and the more versatile of the two

Robinson is the best fighter Monzon has ever faced while Robinson has faced many all time greats and aced them.

since Robinson fights great on the inside, and is very effective boxing at long range, I favor Robinson to dethrone champion Monzon

The Robinson that defeated LaMotta would win a decision for mine. That speed and class even at 155-156 was just surreal.

    SRR SD

Moyer was landing the left hook all fight against Monzon. SRR has a much better offensive arsenal and combos. Hed also stifle him with movement early like Napoles was doing. Monzon takes over late to push it though and might get to him.

I don't fancy little guys vs Monzon to be honest. Not to say SRR couldn't win, but he'd be working uphill.

Robbo gets a close decision. But I see him maybe having to pick himself up from the floor, back end of the fight.

Robinson who I consider to be the greatest pound for pound fighter ever was more vulnerable at middleweight. I think a Sugar Ray at his best would outpoint Monzon but they could split a couple fights or Monzon takes 1 out of 3.

SRR for me, too quick, too nimble, in and out with fast salvos, peppering Monzon with an array of shots, being ahead all the way, and guess what ! if he slowed and it became a slugging match, would still fancy him to come out on top, admire Carlos a lot not, many MW would I have over him possibly Greb maybe Hagler, that's it , you pays your money, you take your pick, and mime is Robbo. keep well.

Robinson was 6ft. tall and proved his punching power to be legendary at 160 as well. Carlos may have some physical strength on him, not height and speed would be a hurdle to Monzon. Sugar Ray was just too dynamic. He would have keep Carlos off balance.

The same way he kept Turpin, Jones, Fullmer, Basilio, Pender, Downes, Moyer and Giardello off balance?

I'd take Monzon over all of them.

Usually when analyzing a mythical matchup we take each fighter at his best or the best versions. Robinson was fighting and beating good middleweight in the early 40s.

If your referring to fights after he had retired to be a dancer then its a different fight. The only name you mentioned that was anywhere near a prime Robinson is Turpin. Randy would have given Monzon all he could handle..

I would favor Monzon over Old Man Robinson.

Robinson uses his slickness and power to control Monzon and win a decision. I even see him dropping Monzon in the later rounds. Very few middleweights beat '51 Robinson.
