Larry Holmes vs Oleksandr Usyk?

I don't think Usyk really separates himself from Fury at all, in the skills department.

 

It's the skills he displayed to get the win.

Phenomenal performance.

 

Time will tell of course.

A peak Usyk would be Holmes' best win.

That alone makes this an acceptable match up.

 

No. That performance by Usyk was qualify.

 

It was excellent and he is a great "fighter" for sure. I'm not taking him over Holmes at this point however and with the poll at 33-7 a few others aren't either. I'm excited about the rematch and a possible fight against Fury. Wilder would be interesting too in a sort of bizarre way as well.

I feel Holmes is overrated. And he never fought southpaw...

 

I think he gets somewhat overrated as well. Having said that he was a helluva fighter still.

I think they're quit a bit apart. At least in technical skill. Ring iq and generalship is closer.

 

AS we saw with AJ and Wilder and Ortiz .. Dont you see the pattern ?... The difference is Usyk is a noticeably better skilled boxer

 

Where does Usyk excel in areas that Fury does not?
