Fury - Wilder III is not for me.

I can't help myself. I'm sure it will be a 1 sided beatdown, lacking the skill of Usyk/AJ, but I need to tune in.

 

WIlders teammate Tay came out with a video suggesting wilder could bite furys hand lmao. Also im dont really see whats wrong with what tyson is doing as long as hes not pulling his arm under his throat into an actual guiitine(which he isnt) boxers do it all the time.

 

Fury was literally reaching out to grab to hold and clinch without cause. Not being hit or hurt. Just a terrible strategy, although effective.

 

yea but fighters do it all the time, isnt it just part of the sport? the clinch game? as long as hes not cranking his neck in an actual guitine then whatever.

The undercard is solid and I have no doubt Fury-Wlder will bring some entertainment drama. 80 bucks is steep so hopefully all the fights are competitive and exciting.

 

Headlocks aren't. Don't change the rules just because someone you like is fighting. Remember all the hate Haney got for his excessive holding. That was for only 3 rounds after he got rocked. No excuse for Fury's hugging and headlocking.

 

Do we? If the last one is anything to go by, a boxing clinic is exactly what we'll get. Fury beat that braying ass at every range; long, close and in-between.

As long as Tyson is sharp and alert, Wilder isn't even that dangerous to trade with. He can punch with him and win those exchanges; round 12 of the first bout (after he got off the deck and started taking it to Wilder) proved that.

it's part of the game, why should Fury be penalized but not any other type of clinches? what if wilder clinches? i see this same type of clinch all the time but when fury does it everyone cries "omg it's mma headlock" lmao

Its you guys who hang on to every little thing fury does and have outrage yet i never see the same energy when talking about any other fighter. Hes just clinching big deal stop crying it's part of the game.

Funny cse you love what haney did and ps i didnt have a problem with what haney did clinching in my opinion is part of the game and you get put in the clinch over and over especially like widler then you are an idiot and suck at boxing. Same with haney some of those clinches shouldn't have happened but they did because linares clinch game sucked.

I bet the wildettes dont have the energy to complain about clinching when Floyd was doing it and looks to be even cranking it fury wasnt cranking.

Please, Fury was headlocking excessively. That's why he got a point deducted. Stop playing dumb. He probably headlocked and held 40 times before the point deduction.

 

no that is not why the point was deducted it was for hitting late while calling for a break(wilder was doing it too) and it was a gift from Bayless to help wilder recover.

 

I'm very interested in it to see if Fury has declined from inactivity and fatness, and to see if Wilder actually can implement a strategy or say the heck with it and just swing for the fences. Or he might just flop around like a fish out of water. It's going to be entertaining one way or another. Next thing you know Wilder outboxes Fury for a UD, lol. Even if Wilder brings a boxing strategy, I wanna see him go all out at Fury if it doesn't work, otherwise a repeat of the 2nd fight is likely.

 

This rematch is pointless and only happening to fulfill a contractual obligation and milk what little marketability Wilder has left but that's why the undercard is loaded, they were not going to risk this PPV bombing with Fury reportedly getting a guaranteed $30 mill and Wilder £20 mill. They need to do 625K buys to break even on just their purses alone.

I'm personally mildly interested in this fight. I want to see what technical changes both Fury and Wilder have made. Will Scott's new tactics actually work, I suspect not and now Fury has been training longer than just a few weeks with Sugar Hill, will we see further changes in Fury and see him fight more like the typical Kronk fighter and does he really have one punch power as his team have been suggesting.

But I wouldn't pay $80 for it though. I'll just grab a copy a day or two after and check it out to see what the rest of you here are talking about.
