Things are bat-guano loco in Buenos Aires right now!!

From what I can gather:
A faction of protesters/rioters led by Gonzalo Omar "El Patón" Basile - yes, the 47 year old, 6'6" heavily tattooed super heavyweight truck driver turned domestic can-crusher who very occasionally takes on a world ranked contender (such as Artur Szpilka, Robert Helenius, or Alexander Dimitrenko) just to be crushed early - invaded the venue a couple of hours ago, causing a suspension of the scheduled event televised start time on TyC Sports at 23:15 local time (9:15pm EST). They had a group of young boys playing drums and trumpets, with a squad of boxers and their syndicalist friends with Basile at the fore demanding the right to unionize, and causing most of the paying customers to flee as police hit the scene to restore order. I've never heard of something like this.

Anyway, things seem to have resumed 'normalcy' and the broadcast has begun, almost 90 minutes late. They're starting with a female amateur bout:

So they're just showing filler until they're ready to resume. Particularly since there for both this and the chick's amateur bout shown before it there is a crowd, if a sparse one, who don't seem too freaked out, so this was all probably from early after the doors opened before the pro card got started.

 

Jesus, can you imagine some American journeyman HW like, say, Joey Dawejko, just rolling up with a squad of roughnecks and kidnapping someplace like MSG, and holding it and its spectators hostage until his unionization demands were met? FBI would have snipers in the rafters within minutes and turn his brain into Swiss cheese with the quickness.
