    The career KO% goes to Wilder but we know that's not always the whole story in determining who the harder puncher is. Who do you consider the harder hitter?

    Wilder it's not even a question he murders super heavyweights in single shots. Shavers has never done such a thing. Shavers is still a huge puncher though. Shavers is probably around Joshua's or Mike Tyson's level in terms of pure punching power imo

    Joshua's a big puncher he just doesn't sit on his punches as much anymore due to fear of getting his glass jaw cracked

    Good point, Ruiz took all that “going in all or nothing” mentality away, and in my opinion we’re never gonna see that Joshua again.

    Not to derail but if you don't sit on your punches doesn't that negate you being considered a heavy hitter?

    Tyson Fury is 6'8", 270 lbs but he's not considered a heavy hitter because he doesn't really sit down on his punches.

    Tyson Fury does sit on his punches and he turns his shots over better ever since he's been with sugar hill. He can punch but he's not a devastating puncher regardless of his size.

    Street fighter. He puts to sleep super HWs. Breazeale KO is one of the most impressive KOs ever. He almost killed a granite chin super HW with one punch.

    Wilder ... hands down.

    SOME of the fighters Earnie Shavers didn't knock out (there were more):

    * Stan Johnson
    * Ron Stander
    * Vicente Rondon
    * Bob Stallings
    * Bernardo Mercado
    * Tex Cobb
    * Ali Haakim
    * Quick Tillis
    * Walter Santemore
    * Rahim Muhammad
    * George Chaplin
    * Brian Morgan
    * Brian Yates

    ALL the men Deontay Wilder hasn't knocked out:

    * World Champion Tyson Fury ...

    And he'll look to stop him in their third fight Saturday.

    If he does, Wilder' will have stopped everyone he's faced as a pro.

    And Wilder will be THE FIRST "World/Lineal/Ring" Heavyweight champion to be able to make that claim in the entire history of the sport.

    Shavers never came remotely close to accomplishing anything like that.

    As much as i hate Wilder and his fan boys, it would really shake up the division if Wilder won. I hope Fury wins though

    I would guess he is above.

    Lets take a scale from 0-10
    0=absolute rubbish
    10=among the best
    10+= almost unique, onle 1-2 other guys are on that level

    I would say Wlad and Foreman have a 10, maybe the right hand of Lennox has it too, but you can also rank him 9.

    Tyson is either 9 or 9.5 but not 10.

    Vitali is around 8 or 8.5, AJ imo too.

    Shavers is 10+ because of Ali and Holmes statements. Both stated Shavers had the hardest punch from all. And Ali could compare it to Liston, Foreman, Frazier and Lyle, while Holmes had Cooney and Tyson as comparation.

    It is indeed possible Wilder is also 10+.

    I have only one problem here: With all respect for Wilder, but he NEVER to this day fought someone with an iron jaw or concrete head, someone like Chuvalo, McCall, or even Valuev, Mercer or Wach.

    Lets see if Wilders right hand would put Wach down!

    When i see how well Duhaupas could take it, i doubt it. Duhaupas was most probably the best chin Wilder ever faced, and the guy didnt go down if i remember correctly.

    Different eras though. Ali didn't fight in an era packed to the brim of 230-240lb+ guys like Klitschko or Joshua did. Hell the 90s saw a significant increase in heavyweights. Wlads punches seemed more powerful than both Shavers and Foreman. Yeah i get that Holyfield said Foreman hit him the hardest but Foremwan was almost 260 in that fight and Foreman was known to put his weight into his punches so it's not out there that 90s Foreman hit harder than 70s Foreman.

    70s Foreman and Shavers are both obviously a huge puncher though, not denying that. But Klitschko had power that looked to be on another level. Not only did he have a quicker delivery system but he iced heavy guys left and right with single shots.

    I dont know...it must have been measured.

    But one thing is for sure: When it comes to kicks, there is already a prove size and weight is not everything.

    The Taekwondo Champion and later Actor Bren Foster weights only 167 lbs (76 kg), but due to his speed and technique the power of his kick reached 2300 lb (1040 kg), thats more then a punch of Wlad (1543 lb / 700 kg in his right hand).

    Speed + technique is also very important, + how hard and tough your forearms are. Foremans forearms were incredible hard and thick, thats why he could develop such a KO force even when his punches were not the fastest.

    Not really suprised because kicks have much more force than punches usually.

    Regarding the size thing size doesn't always matter but Wlad was one shotting 240lb guys in brutal fasion. He's a huge puncher. His power seems underrated in the classic forum.

    Sure. But it seems at least Freddie Roach believs the power of Wlad and Foreman is more or less equal, maybe a slight advantage for the one or the other.
