The scene from the 80s-mid 90s Flyweight-Bantam is my personal favourite. Very stacked time period.

Definitely. The small guys really are the best fighters, since they have the most to prove and tend to be the most dedicated. They put on some of the best fights. Jack Tuli, Pone Kingpetch, Jose Bercerra, Harold Dade, Gaby Canizales, etc..

Even my buddy Armando De la Cruz had some really good fights at flyweight when he used to still fight.

Nope. Inoue is the only little guy below 118 whose fights appeal to me.

From Rose, Olivares, Herrera and the rest of the late '60s-early '70s banties, though Lopez, Carbajal, Gonzalez and the great fighters of the 1990s all the way up to Estrada, Sor Rungvisai and Gonzalez today, I have always enjoyed the little big men of the ring. When two of the good ones get together they provide great action and exciting fights.

Huge fan although I'm not as knowledgeable on the history of those divisions as I wish I was.

Flyweights are vintage wine with a side of cheese Heavyweights are a bottle of goon and a microwave pizza...

Sometimes its forgotten why we watch boxing. Sophisticated violence "Action" it is why Tyson captured the public eye before he was what he was. Some heavyweights just come in off the curb like Lyle, Foreman and Baer and make it to a title shot that just does not happen with the lower weight classes.

Quality flyweights and bantamweights, sure. 105, 108, and 115 are useless as additions to boxing (just like virtually every other junior/super class), though there are the occasional longtime super/junior competitors that grab my interest, like Rungvisai, Calderon, etc.

So true. However, it reflects the affliction of modern Boxing that fighters can bulk up and cut down. Even in my Wrestling days we didn't take it to the extreme modern Boxers do. Heck, they look more and more like days of Japanese MMA, when there was no testing.

Did you know NY had a JUNIOR Flyweight division, but discontinued it due to disuse? Seriously, if malnourished minors 100 years ago had no need for a sub-112 division, why do two exist today!?!?!?!?

I'm a fan of every division apart from sloppy modern heavyweights.
