Only knowledgable fans think Golovkin won? What knowledge requires one to arrive at that conclusion? To have such a reaction to even the mere suggestion that Canelo won, which is a statement of fact, suggests that you're very insecure about who won. It's also insulting to those that scored the GGG matches for Canelo to make the argument that being knowledgable about boxing and concluding that Canelo won either match are not congruent. This is a highly emotive fanboy energy that you are projecting CJ. I implore you to come to your senses and understand that the bouts between Canelo and GGG were boxing classics, matches that will forever be debated and scrutinized in the annals of the sport for generations. The disrepect that you continually show Saul Canelo Alvarez and what he has accomplished in the sport is sad. You clearly do not appreciate the greatness of this man and all that he has done for boxing. The victories over GGG are central to his rise in the sport, those wars with GGG, overcoming the kind of adversity he dealt with vs GGG and the boogeyman of the Middleweight division propelled him to super stardom.
I guess these boxers, trainers and legends aren't knowledgeable Mike Tyson George Foreman Julio Cesar Chavez Roberto Duran Miguel Cotto Robert Garcia Jorge Arce Willie Monroe Caleb Traux Austin Trout Cornelius K9 Bundridge Andre Ward Amir Khan Marco Antonio Barrera Mikey Garcia Andy Lee Martin Murray Errol Spence Sergio Mora Bernard Hopkins Jorge Linares Peter Quillin Tony Bellew David Haye Floyd Mayweather SR Erik Morales David Lemieux Julin Williams Peter Smith Liam Smith Jermell Charlo Jermall Charlo Claressa Shields Caleb Plant Jason Quigley Anthony Fowler Dave Coldwell Badou Jack Jaime Munguia Andy Lee Jeff Mayweather Dewey Cooper Luis Tapia Ladarious Miller Kevin Newmen Rolando Romero Fernando Vargas Adam Booth Josh Kelly Jorge Travieso Arce Humberto Chiquita González Shakur Stevenson Devin Haney Gavin Rees John Molina Brandon Krause Curtis Stevens Ashley Theophane Abner Mares Michael Conlan To name a few
@IsaL It's one thing to believe that GGG won, or to argue GGG won, but for CJ to take such a hardline stance against what happened and claim that you can't be deemed knowledgable unless you conclude that GGG won both matches, this suggests that CJ is highly invested in the G man's perception among fans. To feel so strongly about who won a boxing match, matches that were objectively close and debatable, to take it to the extent of deeming a divergent view as evidence of "knowledge" or lack thereof, that's more than just passion for the sport. That's trying to project oneself onto the world. CJ doesn't have a monopoly on "boxing knowledge" nor can he direct such knowledge on to a scorecard. We are all knowledgable around here. Yes many of us disagree often, but no one is better than anyone else or more knowledgable about the sport when it comes to their opinion or their scorecards. From one's perspective of "I'm the most knowledgable" anyone could make such an argument and project that on to everyone else. But that would portray arrogance and a "better than you" mentality that is disrespectful to other fans and to the sport itself.
It's on the record. 100 years from now, that is what will be said. Sure, there may still be debate, but in all honesty, the fight was not this horrible robbery, like the Campbell Hatton decision or Pac/Bradley 1. If G had gotten the decision and Canelo fans complained, I would say the same thing. Close fight, no robbery. Now, as far as me being a Canelo fanboy, I will self ban if you find a fanboy post of mine were I made fanboy claims. Like the amount of clen found in his wraps was beyond minimal. Oops, I mean in his system. Or Canelo beats all ATG middleweight.
After both fights, polls were held here, & the average results was that 85 % of fight fans deemed that GGG won both fights 10% voted a draw & 5% voted for GINGER . I'd say that was pretty conclusive myself. Or that you believe the 5% were the knowledgeable fans. If so why are you on this forum at all if you believe 85 % here DKSAB !! ???? Answer that one
C.J. Rock has a weird obsession either for GGG or against Canelo, maybe both. I just posted a list of world class trainers, boxers, champions, former champions and boxing legends, that all had Canelo beating Golovkin, but in C.J.s world that is forbidden. These people don't exist, and if they do exist they are paid off by the corrupt NSAC, everyone, from Mike Tyson to SRL, to Roberto Duran, to Geroge Foreman.. to C.J. they are all either part of the NSAC mafia or just not knowledgeable. C.J. has everything he needs in this forum, a heavily pro Golovkin forum. Dare he explore other forums where Golovkin is rated accordingly and not like he is on this forum, he'd lose his mind even more.
you believe canelo won the second fight & you are fully entitled to say so my friend. I believe GGG won both fights & the overwhelming majority seem to agree with me. That is all I'm saying . I'm sorry it got Shadow to write a mini War & Peace full of bull feces LOL
C.J., this site does not represent the world. This site is a heavily pro EU site, always has been. Also, I care more about what proven boxers, proven trainers, and boxing legends say 100 times more than what a bunch of internet geeks have to say.
Show me one poll held on this subject, anywhere in the world where the result was Canelo won either fight .? C'mon Im waiting
I'm a member of just about every forum I know & not one of them had a poll result had Canelo winning either fight. I'm not a fanboy like you two lol If I honestly thought Canelo won either fight I'd say so & congratulate him BUT he didn't !!!!!! lol
