    In no particular order:

    McFarland
    Tunney
    Conn
    Gibbons
    Loughran
    McGovern
    Fury
    Walker
    McLarnin
    Fitzsimmons

H.M. (guys who could probably replace others on the list)
    Sullivan
    Dempsey
    Kilbane
    Graham
    Quarry
    Corbett
    Gibbons
    Driscoll
    Barry

What's tough is that the Irish essentially invented Boxing, but the skyrocketed to the top of American shortly after. Only the Jews come close to rising so quickly.
How's this for a shocker Billy Conn was YOUNGER than JFK and Reagan. It shows how fast the Irish took over American society.

Is it fair to say, lists like these shows how lists can never be really right?

I feel bad sometimes for fighters who get excluded. For example, I really like Fitz. But what about a fella like Jem Driscoll who had NO opportunity to prove himself, since Attell out-right refused... until finally relenting in a non-title affair. Attell's fears were justified, the papers favored Driscoll. I am not saying Driscoll was as talented or accomplished as Fitz, but they certainly experienced very different opportunities, which I think is something that has universal value for consideration when making rankings.

I'd like to do a shout out to Jimmy Britt. I am not sure how to justify him in a top 10, but for talent and promise, he definitely belongs.

Some may not like it, but I think, under different circumstances, Joey Archer would have made the cut.

Well his name is "Fitzsimmons" so that should be a clue. His parents were from Ireland. I believe the County Meath,

All the lists so far are fighters of Irish decent.

Anyone brave enough to do a list of fighters with an actual Irish passport?

    Yeah, he wasn't Irish.

Born in Cornwall, moved to Australia as a youngster, later took American citizenship.

    George Gardner
