A couple of decent pivots in the 2nd fight aside, Wilder's feet are horrible.
He also does this weird little skip before he throws his lights out right. I don't know he's got away with it for this long.

 

in the second fight he did actually eat some rights and they did nothing....and to be honest im not so sure wilders power translates to the upper echelon. Also when watching his training footage the power doesnt seem good to me.

 

Remember before the 2nd Joshua fight, Ruiz did all he could to hide his weight gain? Even did most interviews with his arms crossed to hide his enormous moobs. That's what a fat fighter does when they know the prep has been sub-par. They don't go public about unintentional weight gain. We've been here before with Fury and yet we still bite...

 

Fury will come into the fight about the same weight as he did previous fight give or take.

It really doesn't matter anyway, the Fury camp have recognised that his optimal fighting weight is heavier as it allows him to carry more power behind his punches.

TBH I'd be more concerned about Wilder putting on additional weight, as I do not believe his frame carrys it well and it actually tires him out quicker.

 

Agreed. Fury knows what he's doing - there's been some upheaval with the calling off of the other fight, issues with his daughter etc but despite all the rubbish he comes out with he takes things seriously.

As you said, they've identified that his optimum weight is on the heavier side. Post-Wallin there was huge criticism at Davison from Fury's father that Tyson was too weak at a lighter weight. Against Klitschko for example he was on the lighter side - but he was 27 years old and the gameplan was completely different. Against Wilder he will be looking to take his size and strength to bully Wilder.

The other thing that cracks me up is how upset people get whenever Fury comes out with something ludicrous or chats some ****. Shake it off, he's just having a laugh and it's totally harmless.

I prefer some of the silly stuff Fury says to weird stuff like Wilder's 'I want a body on my record' crap.

 

Exactly - Fury is obviously inconsistent but he's established that over the many years he's been a pro. He's a marmite character but it does surprise me how people still get so wound up by things he says.

 

I love the bloke, but he neds to be more active for the rest of his career would be my only criticism.

Should really have at least 3 fights over the next 12 months minimum.

 

Agreed - assuming he beats Wilder (not a given in my opinion), he should then fight Whyte (assuming he beats Wallin, but again not a given) and then hopefully Usyk.

It would be a real shame if he never fights Joshua but if Joshua loses again to Usyk I can see him retiring.

 

John Fury said he's watching Tyson sparring/training and likes what he sees, and he says Fury tends to perform better with a bit of weight on him.

Remember Fury actually GAINED weight for Fury vs Wilder 2. It doesn't matter if Fury is overweight, it doesn't really seem to impact his performance.

 

Never believe a word that comes out of Tyson's mouth....90% of what he says isn't true.
Inactivity isn't going to help him but he's the more skilled fighter, the stronger fighter and has more ways to win.
Wilder has that punch but in 2 fights so far it's not gotten him a win V Fury. I don't see it changing.
Hopefully AJ's defeat has made sure that Fury is fully locked in on Wilder....but he's an oddball, a trash talker and contradicts himself. Judge him after 36 mins of Wilder 3 not what he's saying now. You will tie yourself up in knots.

it's fury who has to be in 100% mental and physical shape to fight wilder.

Most people consider that "draw" as a win. One judge gave Wilder 7 rounds in that fight, so it's obviously at least one judge was snorting some serious coke on that night or was just corrupt. A draw forced a rematch, and I think it was more financially successful than the previous.
