Interesting rematch between these two. Helenius was massive underdog going to the first fight, but got quite good victory in 2020. Kownacki was taking the first three rounds with good pace and good volume punching, however Helenius counter punched Kownacki in round four and smashed Kownacki to the bits. Is Helenius too old or can he get the win? Is Kownacki's chin gone already? How do you see how this goes?
Could go either way. Kownacki had success early on, hurt him but couldn't put him away and then walked into a right hand. So it's really a question of can Kownacki stop him before he gets caught again. Maybe if Kownacki comes in lighter he'll have that extra bit of speed to be able to close the distance before being caught. But if he comes in heavy again he'll probably get caught coming in again.
Kownacki was one of the most overhyped puddings that I can remember. Hopefully Helenius puts an end to this nonsense joke.
Really interesting fight. If Kownacki learned something from the first fight he should dominate and win. If not he's getting flattened again.
I'm going with Helenius, Kownacki is just so basic. I think his 12 round war with Arreola destroyed his chin for good, which is why Helenius was able to finish him. Without his iron chin, he's a gatekeeper at best.
Do or die fight for Kownacki. I have to think he is better prepared this time around and should win. I still think he is a pretty limited fighter overall and not a legit threat to Uysk, Fury or even Wilder down the road.
It's Kownacki's fight to lose but expecting Sugar Robert Helenius to pull a big punch from his ass and harpoon the whale.
How do you figure that one out? Kownacki is a fat plodder with no speed. Helenius has the reach and weight of punch. It is Helenius' bout to lose.
50/50 Kownacki's defence is horrible and Helenius actually hits very hard. On the other hand, Helenius doesn't have the best chin and is too prone to do that lazy slip where he just leans back with chin up high.
I haven't followed either of the two very much. From what I remember of the fight, Kownacki looked the better fighter but took too much damage from his complete lack of defence. I'd expect him to win if he works on that as he supposedly has been, and it shouldn't be too hard to learn a bit of defence given necessity. Might be the case though that Kownacki just lasts longer until an eventual repeat.
Kownacki hos no defense. Helnius was a decent hitter in his prime but injuries and lack of form stopped him going any further. Probably another edition of rock em sock em robots. If Kownacki hasn't learned how to defend and box at times and comes in flabby as sin again expect him to get put away inside 5. He brings pressure and power with the boxing IQ of a brick.
