I totally agree. Smith by late stoppage (9 or 10 round)

I like Sokolowski vs Dacres on the undercard. Kamil will cause a lot of trouble to Dacres who isn't that much better than Adeleye. With a proper jab and movement Dacres will take it by points, but Sokolowski is a tough son of a *****. Hopefully the judging is fair this time. Most likely will be a YouTube fight before the main card.

Fowler will only win if he lands something huge. Beefy has a good chin that only massive Munguia has hurt so It’s hard to see that. Liam will simply out box him. Fowler really isn’t that good, he doesn’t look like he’s been to that level at amateur. He seems stiff and wants to load up too much to me. With this in mind I can see the more fluid Smith softening him up To the head and body as the rounds go on and stopping Fowler, (who always seems tired midway) on his feet. Fitzgerald wasn’t even living the life for that fight and he was the far fresher man from the mid point. Fowler for me has to use his size and just try and bully Smith to try and drain His good engine a bit. Smith can’t say no to a scrap at the best of times never mind in a derby so I think this would be Fowler’s best chance of catching him in an exchange.

Smith in rounds 9-12 or on points 117-111.

I don't know why but I have a gut feeling that Fowler is going to pull off an upset on Saturday.
On paper Smith should be a shoe in all day long but something is making me fancy Fowler (and not in a take out to dinner way)

Just watched the presser, they both look in good shape, neither looked like they are struggling to make weight, both looked well.

Fowler seems a little nervy, edgy and in my opinion he doesn't sound like he really believes.. he says he does but I wasn't convinced.

While Smith looks very calm, confident and in a good space.

Based on the presser, which a lot of the time means absolutely nothing, Smith looks like the winner.

Like most on here I expect Smith to have a bit too much experience for fowler, but the one underlying thing going through my head is good savvy and cute the mcguigan are getting their fighters the right steps at the right time.

They've done it with all their marquee fighters. Frampton - quigg, Taylor - Davies, CBS - McCarthy and even okolie to a lesser extent. They seem to take the chances at the best possible time, they have a nack for it.

So although I think Smith will win, I wouldn't be in the least but suprised if fowler and the mcguigan pull off another masterstroke,

And I hope they do to. Being Irish, the mcguigans are nearest thing to boxing royalty that we have.

Yep. That's poor, 5 of 9 fights on the actual broadcast. Apparently Dacres-Sokolowski and Charlton-Willis are on YouTube/Pre-show on DAZN and after that a break before the actual show starts. Ridiculous.

No-one have asked the most important question though: will MAYA JAMA be there?

Agree with most of that but I've not seen Fowler improve enough for me. I think it's a case he doesn't listen.

I don't think he'll be that confident for this fight, he isn't convincing me.

Although I think Smith is now on the decline, I still think he has too much for Fowler at this point.

Fowler will have to fight a disciplined fight behind the jab. If he loads up, he'll he gassing by the later rounds as expect Smith to target the body by getting close from round 4-5 onwards.
