No he literally didn't. He cracked as soon as Fury started engaging with him about the cheating. Started going on about how Fury couldn't get off the canvas (which he did) and could barely get the words out his mouth before Shelley stepped in.
Wilder will be forgotten about in boxing very shortly. I have no doubt whatsoever Fury is going to do an even bigger job on Wilder this time, there is no way this goes more than 3 rounds.
Wilder kept his composure ? Wilder was rambling nonsense and started singing. He also started talking about how he doesn't care about the outcome of the fight. Reality is setting in for Wilder. He knows he's going to loose
I think both guys are in a good space mentally as well as physically which adds to the intrigue: This content is protected
Lennox Lewis on the theory that Wilder only needs a second to KO Fury -"Sometimes that second doesn't come"
He's had 19 rounds to do it thus far and hasn't managed it. I don't think even he believes he can anymore.
Then why didn't it happen when he hit him with a well placed shot not once but twice? Who has Wilder KO'ed who makes people think he just KO's anyone he hits cleanly? Breazeale who's been stopped by AJ, dropped by Mansour and also Ugonoh. Hardly a chin that seems uncrackable. Ortiz? Cuban glass shouldn't be a standard to test power. Shavers had crazy power too but that didn't stop Holmes getting up. Relying on power alone is never a good game plan, especially when it's failed not once, but twice before.
Dude is like you trying to convince yourself that this is a safe fight for Fury....and I don't know why...you bet alot on fury?
One things for sure, once a glass cannon like wilder loses his confidence that's usually the end for them and they become a shadow of how dangerous they were before eg david price etc. Wilder is most probably already shattered mentally and it will hit him in the first minute or two of the fight.
