How did Fury's punching power change so drastically?

Wilder is not too good at boxing or defending.

He put on weight and is hitting harder but I don't think that much harder. He hit Wilder many many times and still he was standing at the end.

'still standing at the end' - yeah barely. I don't think Wilder knew what planer he was on let alone ready to keep fighting.

Wilder hit Fury with a few big right hands at the start of that fight and Fury shook it off like it was nothing.

Fury's accumulative punching power likely does a lot more damage long term to Wilder than a one hit KO.

He had been caught before with PEDs, but perhaps a different regimen this time since he looked stronger than he had any time previously?

You're right.... a series of sub-concussive blows does more damage than a clean ko. CTE. Don't you think if his power was massively improved that at least one of those clean punches he landed against Wilder should have kept him down. He has improved and Fury Wilder 2 was the best I have ever seen Fury fight. Lets see if he can repeat the performance.

The cliche is that you can't teach power. You can improve technique and become a harder puncher for sure... but a massively harder puncher? I have my doubts. Yeah Wilder has hit many folks clean and they have taken it. His power is overrated currently also. Plus the extra 19lbs didn't help his punching power at all. It slowed him down and lessened his power imo.

Let me play Devils advocate - The first KD Fury scored was by a shot to the top of the head. Widely known to potentially disrupt your equilibrium, it can be near impossible to recover from in a timely manner. He also had that torn biceps in his left arm so he couldn't throw the jab like he wanted. This severely limited his ability to throw and land his right hand accurately.

Anyways, looking forward to another entertaining night of heavyweight boxing this weekend!

First, if his extra weight slowed him down - why has he decided to come in heavier?

My second question would be on the torn bicep. What proof or indication do you have that wilder had a torn bicep?

He tore his bicep just before the fight started, while taking off that heavy costume.

But wilder excuses aside…..I think furiys style was revised by Kronk, where he can now sit down on his punches

And as has been said, that given his immense size, even he had if he has only moderate punching power, with proper technique, he’s gonna knock you into next week

the guys massive afterall, and with the technique of planting his feet, while leaning forward into the punch, and “bearing down” on his punches, even with average power, you’re gonna knock someone TF out

I predict wilder will be taken out even sooner this Saturday
