In the first two matches, you could clearly see Fury's gloves were not on tight enough and were visibly flapping in the wind as he punched. I'm trying to find out if people expect to see the same flapping glove action on Saturday that we saw in the first two fights. We know a lot of Fury's fans will deny that he cheated, but what can't be denied is that you could clearly see his gloves flapping around as he punched in the first two fights. I just wonder if he will be forced to have a better fitted glove this time. This isn't a topic about whether he was cheating or about how the commission determines if a glove is legal. I'm simply asking do you think we'll see the same kind of flapping action from Fury's gloves on Saturday that we saw in the first two bouts.
If he chooses to wear Everlast MX gloves again, then they will ofcourse. You ever worn MX gloves dude? And when were they flapping in the second fight?? Did the empty glove bust Wilder up?? pmsl
This ridiculous myth has been debunked countless times. Fury was wearing a pair of horsehair Everlast gloves which is why they bent the way they did. They are 100% legal and Fury never took any padding out or put weights in his gloves or any ridiculous BS that you Wilder fans love to babble on about. How about we stop dwelling on delusion and start focusing on reality. GGG got robbed in the first Canelo fight. Whatchu got to say to that shadow ?
I think this is better than debating over whether he cheated, because that gets into Fury's side claiming it's a conspiracy and one side arguing for Fury and trying to invalidate Wilder's accusation, whereas I'm more focused on will we actually see a change in his gloves in the ring. I dont think anyone knows the answer to this, all we can do is guestimate, but we will be able to tell if it's flapping by studying the footage. So this is one poll and topic, unlike the "did he cheat" arguments that will objectively be answered on Saturday. Like we'll find out if his gloves will be flapping or not on Saturday, and they'll be no denying or debating whether a change occurred, whether he was forced to wear more tight fitting gloves this time.
Theres thousands of videos with fighters like Ali & Canelo having the same flappy action with horshair gloves. They are legal, and peeps need to get over it. If Fury wears horsehair gloves and Wilders team let him, its on Wilder.
I'm not debating or asking whether his gloves were legal or not. What I'm asking is will there be a change to his glove action this Saturday? This has been a contentious issue, and despite the allegations, it's an unknown if Fury will be forced to wear more tight fitting gloves this time. I'm not accusing him of cheating, if you say it's legal to have gloves flapping around like that, I'm not sure who would agree with you. But regardless, I'm not focused on that, I'm focused on will we see a change, will we see Fury wearing tighter fitting gloves on Saturday? Or will they be flapping around just like they were in the first two matches.
OK so you expect them to be flapping once again on Saturday as usual. That's what I'm asking. I'm trying to find out how many people expect there to be a change this time around after the allegations, for Fury to not be allowed to have flappy gloves like that. So far we have 2 "No" votes, so two posters so far expect their to be a change to his gloves this time around. Don't get caught up in defending Fury here, that's not what this is about. The question is will we be able to see the gloves flapping on Saturday, or will there be a visibly evident change to his gloves this time?
If Fury decides to wear perfectly legal horsehair gloves then yes shadow, they will probably flap. There's your answer End thread
You know, for a boxing forum, it's frankly astounding how many posters don't seem to know anything about boxing. Nobody who actually knows anything about the sport would be giving Wilder fanboys' insane glove conspiracy any oxygen
No I certainly don't expect him to wear horsehair gloves this coming weekend, I think he'll go with gloves similar to fight two.. BUT If Wilders team let Fury wear horsehair gloves, the yes, its perfectly legal and the descision lies with Wilder to allow it...How is that cheating ? (lol)
Again, that's not what this is about. I created this topic to get away from the Fury's side arguing for Fury and making the argument that Wilder's allegatoin is a conspiracy, instead I'm focused on the objective reality. The reality is that regardless of whether his flapping gloves were legal or not, which many argue were legal, it can't be denied that his gloves were in fact flapping around. That's undeniable, and we always get sucked into the legality of it. I'm focued on the flapping action itself and whether that will be allowed and seen agan on Saturday.
I want to make it clear that I'm not arguing that Fury's gloves weren't legal. It could be that his hands are so big that he has trouble fitting them into small gloves, and this caused him to pull on his gloves during the fight creating that space for the flapping motion. The flapping motion was very evident in the first match, in the rematch they appeared to be tighter fitting. I don't buy Wilder's arguments, especially when he argued that his ear was bleeding and that was proof of something. His ear was bleeding because he got hit hard in the ear and he has those loose fitting earlobe holes which can easily bleed when hit with a hard punch. It seemed that the arguments that his gloves were not legal were about the first fight, not about the rematch as much as they appeared to be fitted better. So maybe this means that they won't be flapping in the 3rd fight and they'll look like they did in the rematch. Even if that's the case though, it's still pretty clear that his gloves were suspicious in the first fight. You don't need to back Wilder's accusations to admit that Fury's gloves were flapping like crazy in the first fight. It might not have been intentional cheating, but his gloves in the first fight were definitely suspicious. And for the people say that's perfectly normal, I disagree with that. Other examples of gloves flapping in the past were not nearly as exaggerated or as extreme than Fury's gloves were in the first match with Wilder. And Fury a has track record of having flapping gloves like that prior to Wilder. It's not a normal thing, it's definitely unusual and noticeable to see gloves flapping to the extent they were with Fury.
