It makes a difference because there's supposed to be padding there. It gives you two advantages, it extends your reach by several inches, it creates a whipping motion on the end of the glove and if it connects that could result in hits that would be short missed punches otherwise. And if the end of the glove is loose, you could connect harder if you land a shot with your fist where your palm's supposed to be because that part of the glove where the fist is isn't padded. If the padding part of the glove is flapping around and if the fist connected in the middle of the glove it would land without any padding creating a lot more damage.
I think you're losing the plot. If the gloves have checked and are legal, his wraps have been checked and are legal and the way that they are fitted to the hand has been checked and is legal, then whatever way they flap is perfectly legal.
Let's pretend I'm a totally biased moron with no fricken clue about boxing at all and think it's illegal. Question is why did Wilder allow it in the 2 previous fights if it was illegal and why would Wilder allow it again in a 3rd fight? Is Wilder and his team this stupid and incompetent that they'll allow Fury to cheat 3 times the same way in 3 fights?
No you are not focusing on objective reality, you are passively aggressively regurgitating the glove conspiracy and trying to hide this behind a façade of faux empiricism, in an attempt to shut down the obvious and undeniable reply to this boring, oft-repeated and nonsensical narrative. And that reply is: Team Wilder's theory about Fury's gloves was nonsense.
The only thing flapping Saturday night will be Wilder, his arse will be spitting out chocolate buttons!!
Flappy gloves is implying "fist in the wrist" which is the most redidulous conspiracy of them all as it would be a complete disadvantage wearing your gloves like that. Would be like saying an ice skater has an advantage not having his foot all the way in his ice skate.... Not to mention you can see his white palm wrap showing the entire fight which disproves it because if his hand was fully out and in a fist it would cover that wrap. Fury is 6,9 his hands are huge and he was throwing flixky throwaway shots so it looks more exaggerated then when others do it. This is hands down the most redidulous conspiracy because suggesting something looks weird and acting like it is cheating when in reality it would be a disadvantage and useless is hilarious.
This is clearly a contentions point and a main storyline heading into the trilogy. It's being discussed in other topics, I simply want to get people's feedback on the actual flapping. The gloves were undeniably flapping in the first fight. If in the 2nd fight they weren't flapping, they seemed to be fitted tighter, hell maybe Fury wearing his gloves properly in the rematch led to Wilder getting stopped. Maybe it's worse for Wilder to have the flappy gloves. But you going after me for asking a very pertinent question about the upcoming match is unwarranted. This isn't faux-empiricism, this is just plain old empiricism, to separate this debate from people arguing on behalf of Fury to proclaim his innocence. I'm just genuinely wondering if we'll see flappy gloves in the triolgy. I don't know if it's better or worse for Fury to have flappy gloves, maybe he has a better chance of stopping Wilder again if he has better fitted gloves like he had in the rematch. What do you think?
Do you realize how silly that sounds? You cannot land a proper punch with your hand out of the glove the only thing you can do is ***** slap people with your small knuckles and you would break them....not to mention you can't throw any real power punches go try on a glove and try it and go hit something for a while as hard as you can maybe try something hard like a skull. Make a video as well so I can see it and laugh.
The figure skating comparison is an absurd comparison. Well yeah but if he did it in some of his fights before Wilder 1, then it's something he or his team is knowingly doing for some reason. Surely Fury has the ability to find a glove big enough to fit his hand to where his glove wouldn't be flapping like it did in fight 1.
I love how you ignore everything i say and focus on the comparison which I probably should have left out because in true conspiracy theory fashion you focus on the most irrelevant **** and ignore everything else.
