Fury showing nervous energy is a good thing? Agreed?

Fury at times looked a bit angry and also a bit nervous to me during the press conference.

To most people this would be a bad sign. The likes of Joshua don't thrive off nervous energy.

But I believe that this is a good sign that Fury is taking the Wilder fight seriously

The only thing that would make me believe Fury would lose is the idea that he wouldn't take it seriously, but the fact that he's a bit irritable and nervous make me happy as it means he's focused on the fight now.

It makes me more confident he'll win because I think Fury/Wilder thrive off it, it makes them more focused.

Yeah a certain type of nervous energy is good, but not that early in my opinion.. at the weigh in it maybe OK but this was days before the fight.. it's so draining.

And you could see it another way..

Maybe the nervous energy is coming from the fact Fury hasn't had a great camp and he knows it, he has had covid and we don't know what lasting problems that may have caused, also he has personal issues outside the ring with his new born.. which everybody is delighted ended well but he had a month off during that time, well he wasn't in full training.

He is coming in very heavy apparently and that to me says he isn't 100% fit, maybe the weight gain is a sign that the camp hasn't gone very well because I don't think adding more weight is a very good idea.

    Anyway we will see.

People always say fury has "nervous energy" before every wilder fight at all the press conferences. It's nothing new. Fury has dealt with anxiety etc all his life and he is likely wanting to take Wilders head off, I wouldn't read that much into it.

When people keep saying fury is coming in heavy, I don't see it - he looks trim.

You can say Fury has nervous energy, but to me Wilder did not look relaxed at all in that press conference. He was trying very hard, but to me it's clear fury is in Wilders head and he doesn't really believe he can beat him.

True but it's preferable over Fury not taking it seriously at all.

We all always worried before the previous fights that he wasn't ready, and look what happened.

I don't think this time will be much different. I don't see what else Wilder can really do. What could he have really learned?

The only thing you can say is the more chances Wilder gets, the greater the odds, but that's about it.

I think it's genuine anger at all the nonsense Wilder has been spouting since the last fight, not nervous energy so much.

It's your perception - nothing more. It's probably what you want to believe that you're seeing.

Joshua fanboys will latch on to anything in an attempt to cope.

Nervous energie ? Fury is always like that, if he would sit still and don't talk about others, than I would call him nervous

As Safin said we see what we want to see as things can be interpreted in a number of ways. We really don't know what the fighter is feeling or thinking, people express those feelings in different ways.

Fact is press conferences very rarely tell us anything about the fight that will follow. It's pure conjecture on our part which is influenced by our own preconceived opinions going in.

But it's fun anyway to try and figure out any possible signs of what could happen. But I personally don't take it all to seriously. It's just a part of the joy of the build up to a fight.

I really... really don't see what you have against my post. Are you just trolling now?

I literally stated something favourable towards Fury and AGAINST Joshua.

Fury gets better if he's nervous, Joshua doesn't....

How am I a fanboy if I criticized AJ and complimented Fury?

    I want Fury to win....

Please all of you consider reading my post before responding. I am HAPPY he is nervous.

    HE SHOULD BE. It's good.

Fury will only lose this if he's not taking it seriously, and the evidence suggests he is. I'm happy.

If he is nervous then yes it's a good sign. I'm not sure he was nervous though, more annoyed at Wilder and more annoyed at the time Wilder's team was getting more time on the mic.

I was generally left feeling positive after the press conference about Fury's mindset and focus. Wilder's dumb excuses have possibly provided the motivation Fury needed for a fight he probably didn't care about at all. But as I said before it's all conjecture on my part. We know nothing for sure.

I thought it was common knowledge that he covid situation was a fakeout in order to delay the fight a bit since it wasn't selling.
