Wilder is a one trick pony but it is a very good one trick where Joshua looks mentally shot at moment and doesn't look as if wants get in a scrap.

I'm amazed not more been made of his terrible excuxses after the fight about his eye on bunce and Frampton podcast. It was embarrassing genuine think some issues there with his heart and hunger he has more money than God and doesn't seek to have the desire anymore ,look at usyk goes everyone back yard 2 divisions all about glory. Joshua only ever has been about the money and didn't face the 2 best fighters in his division at the time facts

He was fighting a morbidly obese guy whos training consisted of running to mcdonaldls before they stoped serving breakfast, can't take anything away from fight at all imo.

I agree Wilder hasn't, he has landed a couple of big KOs on the back foot but that was more down to quality of opposition.

Just cant fathom why people say Joshua can box on the back foot or when pushed back, I'm yet to see it.

To be fair to Ruiz, every trip to McDonalds involved high intensity runs from seat to counter every 3 mins when he scoffed his order.

Dr. Dave Coldwell confirmed on Sky after Ruiz 1 that Joshua wasn't all there mentally so he gets a pass for that one.

    Excuses for Usyk include:

    - came in too light
    - didn't let his hands go
    - McCracken's poor tactics
    - too many voices in the corner

Nothing to do with Joshua himself.

Totally agree with what you are saying, but only I believe it was the WK fight that put the doubts in his head, the Ruiz fight confirmed his own vulnerabilities and fears.

You may well be right Mr C.

Yeah, maybe that really was the start of AJs problems and Ruiz just confirmed it, it makes sense.

Fighting obese andy off the backfoot is basically the same as fighting the heavy bag off the backfoot.

Big Josh's performance in Ruiz II is perhaps his most DAMNING given he fought like a scared rabbit against an immobile target. Contrast to Wilder who is going back in with the twenty stone gypsy TANK who just obliterated him, and you KNOW Wilder is going in for the kill again.

Wilder has heart, Joshua has none.

Matchroom's own behind the scenes video for that Usyk fight showed one moment in the fight where Usyk is landing and you can just tell AJ was scared of the shots coming his way. His face showed genuine fear.

There's a difference between trying to avoid shots but taking them on the chin and then actually being scared of getting hit. I believe AJ has the latter in him and it's why he's vulnerable to getting KO'd. It's really evident if you watch that video.

You have to give the slight edge to Wilder given AJs decline since getting potted by Ruiz Jr.

But if Wilder takes another beating from Fury then perhaps that is his confidence completely destroyed?

Then we have a fight between two ex HW champions who are low on confidence and looking for another pay. It then becomes a toss up.

AJ is the better boxer of that there is no question, more variety in his work and he can box or just wade in with big shots But Wilder probably has the better chin and stamina to offset that.
They match up well I could AJ forcing Wilder back and getting his big punches off......but he's cought between styles. He's not a pure boxer like Lennox and he has serious weaknesses that Wilder could exploit. Mainly that he seems unwilling to throw heavier shots at the moment.
Could see Wilder behind on the cards uncorking a nuke and ending it - will see what he brings on Saturday

I think so anyway, but it's boxing mate, what one person sees another sees it different which gives us healthy discussions...

Joshua showed in Takam snd Pulev fights he can fight on back foot. Is he remotely as good as Fury at doing it, no because Fury is a far better boxer. But Wilder is terrible on back foot.

You said Usyk was crap at heavyweight and "AJ" would knock him out in 5 rounds, or something.

Once you stop overrating "AJ", you might be able to then realise that Wilder is no worse than Andy Rice Pudding Jr - in fact, much better.

If Joshua gets hit with Wilder's right hand, the bout is over. How can a stiff guy like Joshua who has no head movement, dodgy stamina and questionable chin avoid being hit by something that will make him do that funny dance?

Wilder is definitely the favourite in that bout.

It’s not about overrating AJ at all. It’s the complete opposite, Wilder is the most overrated heavyweight boxer of all time.

You can question Joshua’s heart, his chin, his mentality and you can point out other weaknesses but nobody can tell me that Joshua would be in trouble against Szpilka like Wilder was. That’s just one example. He’s a one trick pony that’s only worked against second tier opposition. His record is paper thin, people on here are criticising Joshua’s win over Wlad, that would be Wilder’s best win by an absolute country mile!!!

Just give an honest verdict, yes you rate Fury more than Joshua and yes he is probably better than him but just be realistic about Wilder for a ****ing second!
