That is because it is bigger to hardcore fans.... Casuals frequent twitter, Hardcores use forums to avoid getting f**ked off with stupid comments from said idiots. I know some slip through the cracks here but they are more trolls than casuals. Most casuals are of a certain age that won't know boxing existed before Jake paul started punching for money and won't have a clue what a forum is.
Both were good. This one has more chance of drama or at least a brutal savaging. Everyone wants to see what the best heavyweight on the planet can do.
The personalities amd bad blood help a bit. Also, we enjoyed the first and second fights so it is worth some attention.
It feels more significant because it could be the end of Wilder’s career. There’s also very little chance this fight goes to the cards.
1) Tyson Fury 2) Highly unlikely to go to the cards 3) Bad blood 4) Drama in two previous bouts. 5) Wilder KO chance is always there as long as he's in the ring.
It's an entertaining prospect of a fight, especially now some uncertainty has taken over. Isn't a significant fight really unless Wilder wins ... which shouldn't be significant either as it's probably just third time lucky, but it would shake up or arguably damage the heavyweight division. I remember a sh'ton of talk about the Usyk fight though maybe it's because I was more involved in it.
Fury and Wilder clash well in the build up, anyone who was saying 'oh I aint interested in this fight' is mental. It's the fight with the highest probability of an all in brawl in some time.
I just think there's more to talk about into the lead up to this fight that Usyk/Joshua. Usyk/Joshua was pretty straight forward in terms of a build to a big fight, so you only had the usual talking points. Fury/Wilder in contrast has had lots more to discuss, from the heavier weights of both, to the highly charged press conference and the glove debate. Plus all the back history from the 2 previous fights. So yeah I can see why people might think this is the bigger fight based on the number of threads here, but it's not really an accurate reflection of the whole.
Usyk is very intelligent and classy but not controversial, AJ is just a boring robot. Fury and Wilder are two nutcases that can explode into mayhem. Anything can happen before, during and after the fight.
Ever since Wilder made every excuse under the sun for why he lost I've been waiting to see the twat get knocked out again. Whereas with Joshua Usyk, I like both guys, they're both decent guys so the pre-fight hype was kind of meh.
Many aspects. Wilder has continually made this a black and white thing. Their personalities are much bigger than Usyk/AJ. Cheating allegations. Usyk isn't well known.
Both are/were great fights. This one is getting more attention in general(not only on the forum) because of the history those two have together. Both Fury and Wilder have been duking it out in the ring and on social media since 2018. Additionally, their first two fights were action packed and about as intense as it gets. Regardless of price, it's worth every penny spent to watch those two in the ring because they always give everything they have and then some.
