Actually I feel like casuals care more about this fight compared to Usyk-Joshua as well as hardcores, Fury and Wilder have been trending on Twitter for basically the whole week, lots of celebrities have been talking about the fight. Definitely in the US, the largest boxing market in the world, this fight is much bigger.

I think it’s fair to say that this fight is simply bigger regardless of casual or hardcore fan

I’m not sure it’s bigger. Haven’t seen the odds but we’ve seen these guys fight twice already and Fury win both despite what the crooked cards said in the first. In the AJ Usyk fight, there were no American fighters and it was in the UK. This one is in the US and there are still a few straggler Wilder fans (at least until tomorrow) and Fury is the most charismatic fighter in the game. I’m less excited about this one as I was the AJ Usyk fight. Just want to get it over with so we can see more big guys fight.

Usyk has been embroiled in a few political controversies (albeit that people in the West are generally unaware of).

Drama! This fight is basically a soap opera now.

AJ vs Usyk didn’t have the drama. Although as a 12 round fight I was looking forward to it more than this one.

What kind of controversies? Whenever I see a reporter try and drag Usyk into politics he tries to stay out of it

    Really isn't.

After the absolute beating Tyson gave him, of all people, Wilder's aura has gone.

The rematch should have been the end.

    Difficult to gauge
Wilder and Fury are quite polarising figures. Then add in we have some hardcore Wilder and Fury fans on the Forum. So there is going to me more talk generated.

But actually I was thinking to myself on Tuesday, when is the hype going to start, as it seemed like there wasn't any for this fight until the face off happened.

Two weeks ago, when questions were asked about which fight people were going to buy, it was like 50:20:20:10 for JoshuavUsyk:FuryvWilder:WhytevWallin:None

This fight has a freak factor on both sides that casual fans find appealing.

Don't get me wrong. Fury is a hell of a fighter. But anything can happen. We might see something like a riot or earbitng tonight.
