All credit to Foster. Best referee performance of his career. He's had some stinkers from not stopping the wrestling in Price vs Chisora to not punishing 3 low blows that fight. He's got his act together maybe and hopefully he can be a shining light for British officials like Mark Lyson and we can forget the embarrassing scorecards of recent months. The BBBOC need to get it sorted.

I think there might have been a towel thrown in

Let's just hope it does continue.

We need the mother of all finales for the big one.

Educated pressure, 12 round plan. It wasn't a battle between Fowler and Smith. That fight was 100% the corners vs each other. Joe McNally who genuinely cares for his fighters vs a gang of mercenaries. One was going to crumble in the fire and McNally played a blinder. He is good with a full camp. He threw the towel in for David Price on 2 weeks notice vs Chisora and I think he personally felt he let his fighter down but in reality it was a horribly officiated fight by the same Howard Foster who played a blinder tonight. So either Foster has improved and become a proper boxing referee for once or he is crooked. I want to believe it was the pressure of the event and now he has found his balls.

Good scrap while it lasted. I thought Fowler would do better than many expected, not because I rate him or anything but I do rate McGuigan as a trainer and domestic dust ups and especially local derbies always bring out that British warrior gene.

Terrible look for Clenelo though what with one of his best wins over a prime opponent going life and death against Anthony Fowler of all people, especially considering Beefy only sparred a couple of rounds for Clenelo due to the cut eye and the later was obviously on his enhancements too.

Corner lost belief in him, came for the paycheck. Never cared about the fighter. Fowler should join the Smith Bro's and Pricey's old team in Joe McNally and Paul Edwards. Maybe Pricey can play a part in the coaching as well as he is a wise fighter.

Strange finish. Fowler was looking increasingly bedraggled, sure, but he was totally in the fight. I had it even at the time of the stoppage, and yet he seemed almost relieved to be stopped. Even more gassed than he appeared, I guess.

    Yes Beefy!!!!

Fowler is one of those Brits who I just hate. Like Okolie or Warrington. Completely unlikable.

Respect to Fowler, he was skipping levels and Shane and the Mercenaries abandoned him. He would have fought on and they killed him off and he deserves a good team. Get McNally, Edwards and Pricey involved and help this lad before his career goes down the drain like a fool would let it. I hope Eddie has the brain to see what the problem is.

To be fair Toxteth is leafy compared to the area Pricey and the Smiths came from but I guess the managed decline impacted all from what I have heard.

I'd at least thought Fowler was better than Mungia. Guess not.

The only thing Edward cares about right now is securing an immediate rematch for Fowler.
