Yeah, well... AJ isn't great at applying pressure in anything more than short bursts. It's irrelevant though, Wilder landed countless shots on one of the slicker Heavyweights the sport has seen in years. He lands those rights on AJ< and he doesn't get up from them.
I think there are still great fights we could see from Wilder, I would love to see him against the rest, Usyk, AJ and probably Ruiz
Dudes need to stop retiring dudes. What Wilder does next is up to Wilder. Hopefully, he takes the proper medical advice.
Arreola said Wilder doesn't hit as hard as both Klitschkos. AJ took Wlad's best punch and got back up. Nobody has knocked AJ spark out, not even fatboy. I don't see Wilder beating AJ, and given Fury's lacklustre performance I'm even slightly sceptical about him, too.
I'm not so sure. AJ is gun shy as hell now. The worst thing you can do vs Wilder is have a staring match with him staying at range.
He's still dangerous enough to beat a lot of guys purely off of the absurd right hand power. But after those beatings, he's vulnerable to being a sudden knockout victim against guys who can really punch. These fights will never happen, but somebody like Makhmudov or Gassiev could honestly connect with something huge and knock him senseless.
No he shouldn't retire, he just needs to take a break. At least a year off of course, and then a tune up.
