I think a lot of guys are missing the point here, you don't take a 9 round beating in an 11 round fight, right after you took a 7 round beating in your fight before, get face planted and come back the same. Could he still beat some guys? Of course. But, a shot by a bigger puncher could detach his senses for good.

Boxing is the only sport in which the fans don't want fights to happen, then want them stopped, then want fighters to retire after taking an L

    Worst take I've read tonight.

You've just watched him take a beating for the last 18 rounds of his career and not once did he shell up

If anything he's got too much heart and that might end up getting him hurt

No I'd like him to retire as I believe he has T.B.I.

Makhmudov would for certain, probably some others like Andy Ruiz.

Boxing is a hurt business. Wilder has made a ton of money and then some. the brain is not made to be punched repeatedly. If I were some one he might listen to....mgr, friend, trainer etc......I would strongly encourage him to retire. Don't believe he will though. It is a hard thing for any one to walk away from all the adulation , the glitz and glory etc. takes a clear thinking person with more than a degree of wisdom to do it. Hope he does.

I honestly don’t think their power is too far apart, but what I do think is if AJ can land first on a very skilled guy like Wlad and take his best shots, he can do the same with the less skilled Wilder

I agree with this. Fighting Wilder now is high risk with low rewards.

I see it the other way around. They will fight him because 1) he not very skilled and 2) the Joyce's, Hrgovic's and other punchers of the would all hit significantly harder than Fury.

Fast Eddie wouldn't let Aj anywhere near Wilder without a title

    Deontay would smash him

Yea shell up wouldn't be the correct word maybe more on the gun shy. He took the beating cause he had everything to lose. He has lost that now. To me, Wilder needs that mental edge of being invincible and how his power can always bail him out. That has failed in three fights now. The last two being KOs.

    The hell he does.
Just because the best Heavy weight bested him?

Nonsense! Let him fight AJ & Ruiz then he can call it a career.
