He always had a chance against Fury. If Usyk faces Fury, he will face a better Fury than that. Not sure what you're going on about regarding recovery. He didn't take that many flush shots. This is not Joshua scared kind of guy with PTSD we are talking about.

Usyk has absolutely zero inside fight game. never seen a single fight where hes in a phonebooth fighting. no uppercut either... definitely not in a different league technically. especially against guys who bring the fight to him like Chisora.... Just remember what FUry did to Chisora, and how Usyk struggled with him lol
I've always believed Usyk could beat Fury since moving up. I also think it's a fight Fury would do his best to swerve for the same reasons destruction said. Fury would make it messier and closer than the Joshua fight, but he'd still be getting pinged off and picked apart by Usyk's relentless educated pressure every time he tried to close him down in order to do his maul and brawl schtick on him. Fury struggles when he's in against an opponent that's faster or a better boxer than him, and has to resort to his raw physicality to win rounds. Against Usyk that just won't be enough.
Well, with Sugar Hill gradually making Fury into a fat, reckless punching bag, Usyk probably has a decent chance now of outboxing and even timing/hurting Fury. And Joshua's chances just went up too. Nobody is talking about how Sugar Hill almost got Fury KO'd here with his ridiculous tactics. They were almost exposed the first rematch when Wilder nearly took Fury's head off twice in the early stages. So the plan was to be ultra aggressive and take Wilder out before he could get you? Well, all that happened is that Wilder landed even more than he did in the first fight, almost stopped Fury in the fourth and Fury only got him out in the 11th. So Fury might as well have boxed more carefully and just followed up more than the first fight when he connected. And if he didn't stop Wilder, he'd only have to fight one more round and would take way less damage. There's no need to completely ''reform'' Fury's approach, it's plain stupid in fact. Hill's advice during this fight was ''Jab and RH'' and ''be the big dog and get him out of there''? That's a master trainer? He's clearly a fool who will get Fury KO'd if he keeps encouraging him to brawl KO artists who can hit targets and just win by will power and being the 'big dog'. He says he likes KO's, well, who cares what you like, dude. Usyk's trainer likes them too but understood the situation against AJ. If Fury fights Joshua with this "Kronk'' style, he could easily come unstuck. If he goes back to his ''slick'' boxing and just adds a bit more aggression and finishing power, he'd have a much better balance. Fury is clearly more of an endurance athlete, which explains his engine, so Hill blowing smoke up his rear claiming he's magically made Fury into a KO specialist is actually dangerous for the fighter and shows Hill is delusional. But of course, Hill has everyone hoodwinked with his Steward connection, so we'll all pretend he's done a great job teaching Fury to walk onto bombs and win fights with big dog determination and belief Jesus is going to give him victory.
He doesn't show his inside fighting cause his footwork is so good he doesn't need it. Let's agree to disagree. Imo usyk is better in almost every category besides size
I don't think he will..but I didn't think he would beat AJ so convincingly, so I'm happy to be wrong. Fury's reflexes, footwork and overall speed didn't look as good tonight. I reckon Usyk would find Tyson plenty. Today's fight was fought no where near the pace of Usyk-Joshua, though Tyson has the ability to slow fights to how he wants them.
I think that's a fight that must happen. Defintely if they both win their next fights. Anything else would be a tragedy. I think Fury have to go back to his lighter, boxer self. Usyk is going to be hard to find for the heavy Fury of the last two fights.
Yeah, I think Fury should revert to his boxing style against other opponents. Even Whyte is much more composed than Wilder, and has the power to hurt Fury. The counter he put Povetkin down with in their first fight is far, far more sophisticated than anything Wilder can do.
Fury will need to be in the best shape of his life and will not be able to weight bully a guy with the mobility and movement of Uysk. Look at the success Wallin had against Fury. Uysk is faaaar better than Wallin will only get stronger as the fight goes on. Too me, last night reinforced who the best, most complete heavyweight is and that is Uysk.
