Let's be honest, Wilder lost the first 2 fights by a landslide. Outside of the rematch clause, there was no reason to make fight 3. But, I'm glad they did. This undressed Wilder in front of everyone to see. The draw in fight 1 was one of the worst robberies in the last 10 years. Fight 2 was meant to be humbling to Wilder, but they still couldn't handle him being exposed, so made every excuse under the sun. His LDBC groupies followed the excuses and rode them into fight 3, hoping it would pay off. It didn't. Wilder said he was going to use his custom MX gloves to knock Fury out. He hurt his hand., Wilder said Fury was a cheat, had no power and wouldn't have success in fight 3. He got outgunned and knocked out by the guy he said had "no power". Wilder said he would have given Fury respect if he didn't cheat in fight 2. He said to Fury "I don't want to show any sportsmanship or respect" after being beaten fair and square. The epitome of a scumbag. How can anyone look up to this guy as a fighter, athlete or person? He is a horrible example for the younger generation. Not to mention the constant punches to the back of the head (warned multiple times) + the punch behind the ear that put Fury down the second time. Wasn't that an illegal punch when Fury did it? Or have we changed tunes now? Make no mistake, Wilder is done. Put a fork in him. #excusesquaaaaad
It's a real shame because I've always found him exciting as a fighter, and last night was an epic show of guts and determination. But clearly that's not the same thing as being a classy individual, and in that category Wilder is Claressa Shields level. He's likely finished as a top fighter, and fully inside his delusions now, locked in with no hope of getting out. He'll probably try demanding a fourth fight or failing that snipe from the sidelines of social media and cult youtube channels for years with recycled conspiracy theories and flat out lies catering to his dwindling but ever more crazy-dominated fanbase till he becomes totally irrelevant or needs to make a hasty comeback after everyone around him has picked him clean.
I agree with everything you said, but especially the text I highlighted: the sustained punishment Wilder received in this fight is the type of beating which strips a boxer of their prime.
Exactly. If he was bright enough, he'd soak up the humble pie on offer and move on with something else. He won't and will get beaten by the next opponent that pushes him backwards... I can't wait.
Yep. And I've said in a couple of other threads, I wouldn't be that surprised if Delboy could do it to him... He's equivalent level to Ortiz, better resume and would push him back more - I would genuinely see that 50/50 after this.

I think he should come again now that his rivalry with Fury is over. He's a true fighting man just like the Gypsy King
That third bullet point is great. All the people that are blowing their load over Wilder's heart have conveniently missed the part where he refused to congratulate Fury and also failed to hang around and pay tribute to the fans that came to support him.
Great point about the second knockdown of Fury. Lot of people cried foul on Wilder’s first knockdown in the second fight when this punch was actually worse and nobody made a big deal about it. For the record I was fine with both knockdowns. Yes if Wilder had been classier in defeat a lot of his rhetoric would be swept under the rug but he couldn’t do it. Hopefully he disappears into the trash bin of history. Extremely protected fighter that couldn’t win in 3 fights with a man that was viewed as over the hill. Wilder got what he deserved. Hopefully though I don’t wish him long term damage
I don't like Wilder for any number of reasons, and I'm glad he is out of the immediate equation for belt fights now. However, I have to say after watching the fight today, he's never been one to quit when things got tough, and I have to give him grudging respect. He's also been down in quite a few of his fights but stayed in there and found a way to win. Not this time tho. Perhaps in retrospect, he may regret in years to come not taking on tougher opposition.
Wilder is older now and had the living hell beat out of him last night. We have seen the best of him. Fury mastered him and now we will only see his decline. HE is still dangerous, but now only a stepping stone other challengers to the King.
Still some good fights for Wilder and a lot of them are winnable if he wants to carry on. AJ, Usyk, Whyte, Chisora, Ruiz, Joyce, Hunter.
