Yeah, his careers not over yet but he's 33 and I don't think he's gonna get any better so let's rank him now as he currently is. My all time top heavyweight h2h has already been
    1. Ali
    2. Holmes
    3. Tyson
    4. Lewis
    5. Louis

Does Fury crack my top 5? Would he be in top 10? Where would you rank him on your own lists?

    NO Where,

if you just do ALL the True Great HW Champs, then the True Great Contenders and then even the True Noted HW fighters, you could list a hundred or more over the history.

Tyson Fury is a Fringe Contender at best!

he is also a S-HW and even there there are a few that are completely superior to what he'll ever be, I LIKE Fury, but he is a 2cd Rate fighter, and it's not a revelation or a surprise either.

He has fought 5 Noted fighters in 7 Contests and Only 1 of them would be considered a True Contender among Better Era Greats.

    BoxRec: Tyson Fury

I ain’t talking about who’s the greatest champions or who made more defences or who did or didn’t fight 50 other contenders. It’s just matching the current Fury in a hand to hand matchup against other past heavyweight champs and contenders and asking how he fares against them and where you would place him on a h2h list. It’s that simple

I know and I answered accordingly, in fact H2H is the only way for me, achievement based lists are too subjective and 100% Inaccurate.

H2H places Fury where he should be, 2cd Rate to TRUE Good Fighters.

Yep, it is time to do this. Fury has earned his spot at least in the top 10.

Right now I think the fighters that I would favor to beat him is ( from best to worst)

1 Vitali K - Has the chin , the fight, the meanness, the height and the work rate. This would be a great chess match as well. Both fighters are brilliant. I just think Vitali has that little extra the take the decision.

2 - Ali - (potentially) A bigger faster Uzyk. Speed and movement

3- Wlad K - Close fight during the real one, and Wlad was 40+. Chess match that Wlad wins as a superior boxer

    4. Lennox Lewis - Has that all around ability, deep tool shed of talent. With training and could outsmart Fury with a great fight plan.

    4. - Holyfield - Because of sheer willpower and great counters.

    5. Jeffries - Could outlast and out wrestle Fury.

Special Fight or my dream fight.

    6. Riddick Bowe vs Fury would be insanely fun to watch.

He's done enough to rate in the top 15-20, but nothing beyond that. However he still has time. If he beats Usyk and some young centers he will rate higher.

If Fury fights Uzyk and wins....

He will have fought an extraordinary fast and incredible boxing talent - Which would answer a great many questions of how he does with certain styles.

He already has beat incredible punchers with great chins and heart ( Wilder)
He beat Wlad ( yes he was old) one of the most cerebral Champs to ever exist , Longest reign ( experience) who himself had superb speed and power and fought tall.

That leaves just superb busy boxers with speed as a question mark. Let us hope this fight happens.

Elite punch resistance, size, jab, generalship and he's very adaptable. It's a very good combination that.

I'd pick him over every ATG heavy less than 210lbs and there is nobody who represents kryptonite for him. There is no anti-Fury style that I know of that really, really matters I'd say.

Just a word of caution here.

His resume is still essentially built on two fighters.

If you wanted to do a takedown of him, you could argue that Wlad was oven ready to be taken, and that Wilder was never very good anyway.

I would add that while he looked very impressive in all of his biggest fights, he had looked fairly beatable in others.

It is easy to forget that a lot of people thought that he lost to John McDermott, and he certainly didn't look like a world beater against Otto Wallin.

I am not saying that he is not good, because I think that he is good, but I am not in any hurry to decide how he measures up against greats from other eras.
