It was the greatest event I’ve ever been to in person.

The gap between these two versus all the other fighters on the card was gigantic. It was light years apart.

It was absolute pandemonium. People were jumping up and down. Everyone had a look of pure shock on them. I felt like I was at a gladiator fight at the Colosseum.

 

As Janitor says, he has a very narrow range of work at the top. He might not get better, but he can at least show us more against different types of fighters.

 

It was dramatic and violent. The fight had so many twists and turns. They both showed incredible heart and courage. When you’re in the presence of greatness, you know it.

Everytime one of them got hit hard, they would go right back in and throw a big punch of their own.

If you had asked me what the perfect fight would have looked like before the match started, I couldn’t come up with a better script. Unbelievable and unforgettable.

 

Id rank him as the best HW since Lewis and top 15 of all time.

What he did against Wallin is something only ATGs are capable of. . Adaptability is rare in HWs.

Him vs Prime Wlad would be fun to watch

 

Fury wasn't prime either and Wlad had home / ref advantage so it was a pretty level playing field when they fought.

 

Fury was prime....Wlad was not. I have no idea how anyone could say otherwise.

That said, Wlad was in amazing condition for his age. Truly he was one of those champions that held close to his best even at a very advanced age. Much like Louis, Foreman, Walcott , Holyfield, EZ Charles, and Archie .

This. Fury needs more wins.

 

I would say 35% were for Fury. Which was impressive given that people aren’t traveling as much.

Many were there for a great show, and were cheering for both fighters.

Many were restless by the end of the Ajagba Sanchez fight. But as soon as they rung the opening bell, you could tell that these were different men.

 

Wlad, Vitali, Tyson, Lewis and Ali are ahead.

He's about the same as Holmes and Louis imo.

 

A man this big with his skills would do well, although to be honest Wilder does not have the overall pedigree of a Holyfield or Lewis in the Amateur rank, which makes a real assessment of Fury hard in a head to head matchup with guys like Ali or Frazier or Holyfield or Lennox. He would be big for Frazier and Evander, probably too big, but Lennox would land that right hand and stop him stylistically and pedigree. How would Fury stay away from the Lewis right hand?

 

Was Wlad prime when he lost to Ross Purrity? Was he prime when he got destroyed and by Sanders and avoided a rematch with Sanders?

I never said anything about Wlads prime. . I said Fury had not reached his prime yet. He is better now under Sugar Hill.

 

Wald had to change his style after those losses, so I would say he was using all his talents to their full potential. He was the favorite and upset in those losses, and I would favor him with rematches. In other words he got better.

Sugar has been fantastic for Fury, if he would get serious about training he would only get better. Right now he is not in his physical prime.
