Where do they rank in terms of boxing families? All 4 have been world level / challenged for world honours. 2 have won world title(s). What other families come close?
As much as i dislike certain ones you can't deny how amazing it was to have 4 active brother all hold some title. Realy incredible stuff really and made of proper steel in that family to make it like that.
Fury family are sensations. Tyson Fury, who might be the greatest ever, is worse more than 300 Smith brothers. Then there's Hughie Fury, who is a terrific talent and the best is yet to come. Should also have been a world champion when he beat Paint Dry Parker. Tommy Fury is another hugely talented boxer. John Fury, fought for a British title but couldn't make more of his career due to discrimination and being a hard working man. Then there's "Young" Fury, who boasts a 6 and 1 record. Eubanks A legendary father and a son who is every bit as talented. And another son, who also boxes, come to think of it.
They have to be Britain’s best boxing family. To think there is four of them that have all fought at the highest level. It Is probably a once in a lifetime event for us boxing fans.
The Klitschko, Spinks, Mayweather, Marquez, Galaxy families (probably some more I can't think of just yet) all had greats fighting in them, unlike the Smith's, but I am hard pressed to think of any boxing family that had four fighters challenge for world titles. The Smith's are all brothers, as well, which makes it more impressive as they all fought in the same era. Some boxing families span multiple eras.
Ricky Hatton and Campbell. Campbells only a couple of fights in and already fighting in sell out stadiums. Sorry couldn't resist.
