I really don't see much in Fury I will let him finish his career before I judge it too harshly.

You either need someone who is a good boxer with powerful punch (Lennox or Louis) or someone who is much quicker than Fury and can dance forever (like Ali). One dimensional boxers with big size disadvantage like Tyson or Frazier would have a hard time to beat him, but it wouldn't be impossible.

Of course Fitzsimmons stops him within 3 rounds ;)

Tyson would have countered Fury`s jab everytime he threw it and would have destroyed his body, Wilder was landing with ease to Fury`s body early on, Fury looked awful, Holmes was far quicker.

deontay was landing early on but you have to remember deontay was using a new style those first 2 rounds

anybody facing a fighter with a new style will have trouble so early on doesn't mean much and fury was more brawling with him he wasnt just using his weight the whole match mostly like the 2nd match

mike would win but mike wouldnt counter every shot thats not realistic saying that

Dude , Ive forgotten more about the fight game than you will ever know. And you know why? Because you think you know and don't have the humility to take a step back, and think, why does so many posters on this site disagree with me vehemently.
That shows just how arrogant you are. And just like most arrogant people, you try to hide your lack of knowledge by questioning others knowledge.
So you've watched a couple fights and now you're the expert.
Dude any fighter I write about on this site I've watched numerous times. And not just the highlights on you tube. Actually watched them fight most of the times live. I've been involved with the Martial Arts since the 70's.multiple disciplines ( And if you're not smart enough to know boxing IS a Martial art) I've been in the ring and trained with reputable trainers.
My advice to you is stop questioning others so much , because most posters on this site generally have their information right though there personal opinions may differ.
Look in the mirror and ask yourself why do most posters see my stuff as outlandish and are critical of me.
Maybe you will gain some insight into yourself.
Because to be honest with you, you really don't know what you're talking about most occasions
And the real sad thing is, because of your arrogance you CAN'T learn.

I would pick prime Ali (before the exile) as having the best chance.

After that, in approximate order, I would pick (in their primes)...

    Lewis
    Foreman
    Vitaly
    Holmes
    Liston
    Tyson
    Wlad

    ...to beat Fury.

    50 / 50 propositions...

    Louis
    Frazier
    Holyfield
    Bowe

Not too many (if any) others would I pick as favourites.

Best odds, one nomination as the question prescribes? Lennox Lewis.

That doesn’t preclude the belief that other HWs are also capable of turning the trick but given his overall combination of size, dimensions, skill set and power, I would rate Lewis as deserving the best odds against Fury, further qualified to mean that Lewis would equate to the most pronounced favourite over Fury, not as an underdog who has the least chance of losing. LOL.

already explained why Frazier and George cant and louis who was way outdated who struggled with people who didnt move good so dumb to say he could have a chance when he couldnt and would stuggle real bad with fury or any other person who moved real good

Louis had a far better hook than Wilder.
