Baer wasnt too far off. Ruddock was an ATG puncher no doubt but the power difference between proven heavyweight punchers is overrated I think...Ruddocks Punch is maybe a little more concussive but both were head rippers lets be real.

How many early one punch KOs did Ruddock have in his career? Certainly less than Baer.

doesn't matter the people max fought wasnt as tough and stood in front of him used way less movement so it's no compare and max wasnt as hard a puncher and wasnt close to the mover razor was and he fought lighter people

its amazing people think max hit harder then razor a man known for fighting lighter people who stood in front of him compared to razor who had to make a way to hit clean shots

it's way easier to hit a person who uses less defense who just stands there brawling knock it off it's so easy to see on video razor hit way harder

max wasnt even a real hw and would never be able to knock any real hw out who razor fought

He was leaner than modern HWs while weighting above 220 lbs... You're getting worse and worse.

    Isn't it just.

You almost get the idea that people are much braver, when their prediction can never be tested!

I wonder how many ATGs have actually been stopped in a few rounds as predicted?

It is rare enough in mismatches.

Bar freak occurrences yes. The quickest ATG stoppage that comes to mind was of course an odd one. Kaokor Galaxy a known ironman at Bantam was stopped in one round by Luisito Espinosa despite going over twenty rounds with Sung Kil Moon and looking daisy fresh...

At the very least, he was an undisputed champion.

Eastern European white collar boxers and journeymen are rarely stopped in one when thrown in with Olympians.

There are tons of mismatches, multiple on most cards, and yet 1st round KOs are not common

    No he wasn't!

Sure, he was getting butchered by the greats of the era, but he was very consistent against men who were not great.

We often have threads asking the question, when could this bum have won the title?

They would honestly have had more chance against the Sharkey that Carnera beat, or the Baer of the Braddock fight, that they would against any version of Carnera, who was defending the title!
