You know man...thats what Boxing fans gonna believe...without knowing history of other Combat sports. I give you a prime example: The most probably greatest K-1 Kickboxer, or at least he most succesfull, of all time, dutchman Semmy Schilt, dominated K-1 between 2005 and 2009 like no one before or after. He won the World Grand Prix Final 2005, 2006 and 2007 back to back, and won it again in 2009. During those tournaments he defeated the elite K-1 guys Peter Aerts, Jerome Le Banner, Ray Sefo, Remy Bonjasky, Ernesto Hoost, Badr Hari and more. Schilt in his prime was 6'11"(212cm) weighing 282-293lb/128-133kg and was much more agile and skilled as Valuev, especially his techniques were much better. He was used to fight smaller and lighter guys...ALL i just mentioned were smaller and lighter. He dominated them from the outside and finished many of them with his kneestrikes and kicks. But on day he met an asian colosson who was even bigger and heavier then he himself and Valuev, he was the biggest/largest competitive combat sport athlete on the planet, standing 7'2"(218cm) and weighing 353-366lb/160-166kg, and his name was Hongman Choi. I remember back in June 2006 ANYONE thought Schilts skill and speed would dominate Choi, and he would not have any problem to beat him. But Choi beat the odds, he used his size and weight to outgun Schilt, who simply was never used to fight someone bigger and heaver as him. He could not dominate from the distance and was unable to grab him and smash him his knee in his face like he did so many times. This was BTW in stand up combat sport the "record" fight when it comes to size + weight as total package, it even surpassed Valuev vs Jameel McCline. Valuev: 7'0(213cm) / 322lb/146kg McCline: 6'6"(198cm) / 268lb/121kg Schilt: 6'11"(212cm) / 282lb/128kg Choi: 7'2"(218cm) / 355lb/161kg Sure you can make the case Schilt still won, but the judges gave it to Choi. But so or so it showed some times it can be very difficult to deal with something you usually dont deal with. Schilt was NEVER in a situation where was smaller + lighter as his opponent...so was Fury to this day. This content is protected ALL K-1 fans were certain skill and technique would beat power, size and weight, but Choi made it dirty and Schilt didnt know how to deal with it. Schilt won the 3rd round very well, but in the 1st and 2nd Choi had the better moments and gave him much trouble. Choi could hurt him a couple of times, but could absorb all of Schilts punches and kicks.

The problem with this is that Valuev is a caveman with T-Rex arms and Fury Is excellent at all ranges and doesn't need to rely on bulling people with his weight. Fury has relied on bulling with his weight for the last 2 Wilder fights and thats it. The first half of his career he was basically just a brawler who gave up most of his advantages to fight on the inside.
Chagaev and Haye defeated Valuev by moving in, landing quick shots and moving out. Fury probably would follow their blue print even though he didn't box that well in his last fight. Looked very sloppy, but he still would win a UD. If he tries to go for a KO it will be a disaster for him.
Well, people love to remember Valuev only from fights vs Haye and Holy, mainly. Chagaev was too much for him in this night. Haye had slowest from all Valuev's versions and ofc long ago over the hill in the ring. For him was too easy to see what Valuev will do, he was surprisingly slow. So when Valuev threw, he almost always evaded. This was core for this win: If you had landed almost nothing ( for 12 round fight ) on opponent, most likely you will have L on judges cards and Valuev had L on cards cos this. Fair and without 0 questions here. I think that motivated and in good shape healthy Fury had won vs Valuev via decision. Like Vitali and Wlad, I don't think that these 3 boxers had KOed or TKOed Valuev. The big problem that Valuev was approx 320 lbs bloke with huge frame and bones, sorry. If you hit such giant who is also very durable with 100%: like ribcage, God Help you if his elbow or forehead. While to outpoint him was possible, this had been proved.
Is prime valuez a supermarket? I have prime valuez unless Fury can get back to 400lb and eat through their entire store room.
