I think you need to see my previous posts about him. I don’t like him at all and I use to refer to him denigratingly as Beyoncé etc. However his efforts the other night at the very least is worthy of the respect of me and all. If he behaves in what is called an unsportsmanlike manner that’s on him and so be it nor does it take away from his courageous and valiant efforts to regain the title.

So what exactly are you taking exception to, with what I'm saying? Has he displayed much class?

Have I said I don't respect his efforts in the fight?

I think there may be a possible story or movie title here to cover Wilders attributes.

The Fury fans would largely respect him if he acted with any respect or decency.
It is not the point that they do not "have to" like or respect one another.
It is wrong, bad for boxing & as a life example, & damaging to Wilder & the heart he showed to behave so petty & maliciously.

Edit: yes, it is our role to tell people who are bad sportsmen & bad for the sport how to conduct themselves.
It is very appropriate & helps shape the expectations & follow through of character-driven conduct to not support, & explicitly reject, mean-spirited & ugly conduct.

Especially after everything else he has done re: nasty conduct & ridiculous excuses.
Just like we should & comment upon the Bug Heart he showed, & seems determined to cover up with his new terrible behavior.
    Deeply immature.

Did Fury not say well done to and attempt to shake the hand of the man who has accused him of cheating for about 2 years then?

Then following the snub up by saying the guy gave him a run for his money, that he hoped he'd be ok and that he'd pray for the man

Abusing people and saying “Yo Mama” to a black American man like Fury did at the press conference before fight 2 is hardly likely to induce warn feelings in Wilder. It is what it is! We should not be hypocritical. Fury who I like conduct has not been exemplary. I am no prude because my hero Muhammad Ali crossed the line with the magnificent Joe Fraizer and others and I can admit it.

Whether it was in boxing or rugby i was old skool after bout/match and shook opponents hand, that was not out of respect or to give impression i was their buddy or had forgiven any verbals or indiscretions it was merely etiquette.

I however have no issue with Wilder not wanting to play the nicety game, first off he had just taken quite a heavy battering.
Secondly that opponent at the weigh in during interview was uttering expletives, threatening to hospitalise and beat him so bad his wife would not recognise him blah blah blah, why in the hell would you feel compelled to play nicely post fight after that?

It seems lot of folk think Furys rants are good, Wilder not saying all is forgiven is bad.

Can’t say I’m surprised. Wilder is without a doubt a warrior with a heart of a lion inside the ring. Outside of the ring he’s a sore loser who won’t even take the time to at least have the courtesy to show respect to Fury for beating him. Very conflicting feelings towards him

Fair point, although all that bluster is really to sell the tickets and ppv orders that both men benefit from.

Wilder didn't even pull his weight in selling the fight.

Just been watching a very impressive Malik Scott interview and this came up (timestamped):

I think that's probably the best argument I've seen for it. If he genuinely didn't feel it, then at least he didn't make himself a hypocrite.
