Now that Fury is front page news in the UK does it mean he`s a bigger star than AJ?

Fury v Wilder is the first fight in years to make it to the front page of UK newspapers, does this mean he will be or is more famous than AJ in the UK now?

It's been tilting in that direction since the first Wilder rematch.

AJ's second career defeat has the public questioning the product they were sold (that his L's came from two smaller men makes for especially bad normie optics), and this fan-friendly 'rubber match' (not really, but, whatever) is getting mad attention.

When AJ loses to Usyk a second time, it's a wrap. There'll be no questioning who the biggest star in UK boxing is. It was always just a matter of time.

We will see next purse. AJ has cleared 40 million pounds, Fury will do well to clear a quarter of that for the third Wilder fight.

Makes not a lot of sense, but there it is.

Let AJ have London. Fury owns Vegas.

AJ will always be the 'poster boy' here in the UK.

    We're backwards like that!

Fury is and will always be a greater boxer than AJ. Stardom fades. Greatness endures.

"Oooh who's the most famous out of fury and AJ!!"

Seems like the sort of thing a broody female on the lookout for a mate might say.

I really doubt it. Fury is too marmite a personality, either you love him or hate him while AJ has far wider appeal to a wider range of demographics.

Fury may surpass Joshua as a boxer in people eyes but that won't make him more popular. Much like how Lewis surpassed Bruno but Bruno will always be more loved and accepted by the British public.

Fury obviously the far superior boxer but AJ is the golden boy and national darling. AJ’s next fight will be built up with the redemption and comeback arc and do big numbers. Also the Sun are more interested in stories about parties and drug fuelled orgies, gutter ‘journalism’.

No, I just hear contradictory things about who is the bigger star, and I get confused.

They are building up Fury as some drunk yob like Gazza after the 1990 world cup wearing women`s breasts and euro 96 with the infamous dentist photo.

Fame wise I’d say they are on a level atm.

Everyone knows who Tyson Fury is now. And he’s probably seen in a more positive light after his win and Joshua’s loss.

Shame that Fury still has no chance of winning the British Sports Personality of the year award. He’s just upset too many people at the leftie BBC in the past with his outspoken comments. Beside the award has already had the name of that new British tennis girl engraved on the trophy ready to be presented to her even though the voting for it hasn’t even started yet. :dunno
