He hits hard enough that’s for sure. He’s over 270lbs, you don’t wanna take a flush shot off that put it that way.
It's hilarious and awesome. Big, dumb, clubbing behemoth power, but applied with a boxing brain. I'll never get tired of watching these mortal boxers react that way to his punches. Nor will I ever grow weary of the seethe.
Yeah I see Fury's right hand as more of a clubbing shot and if he repeatedly clobbers you in the head with hit you will go down. In the first round Fury landed a sharp straight one two on Wilders chin and Wilder took it well but later in the fight when Fury looped the right hand more as a clubbing shot it was doing way more damage hitting Wilder around the temple.
that hard loud thud that was heard when he would land some of those punches is power. rate it how you will they were not love taps and they ended up with Wilder having a mat nap.
Fury hits very hard. He doesn't have natural explosive power, he has dull thudding power than can be absolutely devastating with timing. He's always been heavy-handed, but for most of his career he sacrificed power for speed and movement.
Anyone who doesn't think Fury has power is absolutely kkidding themselves. He lacks the explosiveness, but Wilder will likely never be the same after some of those shots - it's like a club hitting you as others have said.
Sorry thats just a nonsense. Usyk likely has more snap in his punch, but if Fury clubs Usyk with one of those right hands from the weekend - it's over. Fury has 25 kilos on Usyk.
If you'd argue with me that Fury hits harder than Usyk... Then okay, that's reasonable. But Fury knocking out Usyk with 1 punch? It's just absurd. Fury ain't koncking anybody out with one punch, he really does not hit that hard.
He has where is all the muscle unmotivated someone's been training down at the bakery flabby big man power
But he knocked Wilder out with one punch 2 days ago? He's not a knockout artist, but to suggest his shots don't carry power is just silly.
Cumulative damaging power is how I think of Tyson Fury. Fury is a boxer that thinks. He know that throwing bombs early will likely lead him to gas later in the fight. He also knows he doesn't need to do it. The vast majority of his opponents will be worn down by the attritional nature of his style. As someone up thread mentioned Wilder took considerably more damage staying on his feet for 11 than if Fury had simply sparked him. He hits hard enough and when it comes time to finish a damaged opponent there's enough there to do it. It takes some time as evidenced at the weekend and he's unlikely to just switch someone off with a firecracker punch. But that's not the game he plays. He will punch you hard in the head and body over and over again until your will / body breaks. I think he's probably a thoroughly unpleasant prospect in the ring. Wilder did well to stay in there for as long as he did but I doubt he'll ever be the same.
Are you for real? With one punch? It was 11 round beating. Also Wilder does have a realy bad chin. And why is it silly to suggest his shots don't carry much power? Because he KO'd glass chined Wilder? If he was a decent puncher Wilder wouldn't last past 4th.
