So... Thurman, Spence, and Danny couldn't stop Porter, but Crawford will?

I see a lot of people in the boxing community picking Crawford by TKO. Porter has arguably one of the best chins in history and has fought the two hardest hitters in Thurman and Spence (neither could stop him). Can someone explain to me why people are giving Crawford a 90% chance to stop Porter?

I can't see it happening myself, it would be a big statement if he did. Even if he dominates Porter scoring a near shut out that would be huge but a KO seems so unlikely given how durable Porter is.

Let’s see what happens because I also have it on good authority that Porter intends to punish Bud as well and stop him. What time is it? SHOWTIME!!!

Some people believe Crawford is just that good. Mostly based off the eye test. We’ll see

Bud will land more because he`s better at setting up his shots than any other welter, Spence is big and heavyhanded but his punches often lack snap because he has poor body mechanics, he`s not a one punch KO artist, Thurman was pretty poor at landing shots, Bud is a better offensive figter than Thurman was plus he`s a switch-hitter so punches will be able to land from different angles than Porter has seen before.

But Porter, outside of Canelo, Usyk, and GGG, is the most durable boxer in the game.

Spence hurt him and he is far easier to hit than Usyk or Canelo, GGG hasn`t really taken hard shots, he`s taken some solid shots but te biggest punchers he`s faced didn`t land that much, Jacobs didn`t catch him as much as people say, Lem hardly hit him and Canelo doesn`t have GGG`s power.

I can’t see it myself Porter took some big punches from Danny, Thurman and Spence.. But I can see Crawford going for broke and going for the KO as this has huge ramifications on how his career is viewed so far. Not saying Porter is the best WW but he is the one that’s fought all of them in their primes while losing by the slimmest of margins.. Simply put he is the measuring stick for that division.

If Crawford wins this fight, does it make him P4P king?

Definitely not.. Too many fighters from different divisions has done way more.. But this fight is still important for how his career is viewed to fans. Boxing journalist like to prop him up but not many boxing fans are convinced.

You are aware that the Brook that Crawford faced was a wrecked by GGG and wrecked by Spence drained down shell of a man right?

As someone who thinks Crawford is gonna win, he's gonna have a really tough time with Porter. The hardest fight for an elite boxer/puncher is a mauling, at times unorthodox brawler and this is what Porter is. nobody has really been able to keep Porter off them and turning the fight into a war regardless of how elite they are or were at the time (Brook, Spence, Thurman). They all showed class by winning, but they all experienced trench wars that none of them probably wanted. Crawford is far smaller than them and although IMO likely just as elite, he's still a boxer/puncher at heart and needs a bit of room to do his best work. Porter isn't gonna give that to him.

I see a rough but well deserved 12UD for Crawford.

If he does he cements himself as the man at 147. Porter is a tough rugged fighter with a good chin. Nobody has been able to KO him and I doubt Crawford will but if he does …..
