Fury has stated that he has done everything in boxing and may retire now, thoughts: This content is protected
He might. He didn't look "prime" at all the other night, and he took some huge punches. He's got money in the bank and boxing's not a game. Brain damage is a real risk. He might. But I think he will fight again.
I hope not. He still needs to fight AJ, Usyk & Whyte if he wants to be the best of his generation. Beating one of the top dogs (even if you did it 2x) doesn't make you the best of your generation.
Don't think he needs to fight Whyte at all. I don't think he needs to fight AJ anymore either, although I hope he does and agree that it would certainly add to his resume massively. But the only one who he NEEDS to fight in order to be confirmed as the best of this generation, is Usyk
Load of old bollocks. Papa John's Fury wants him to duck Whyte apparently as only Usyk is fit for his boy's attentions. Needs to stfu or go back to the nick.
Usyk is a lot better than Whyte he beat AJ who stopped Whyte and went 1-1 with Povetkin who was stopped by AJ.
Usyk is clearly the better opponent. Whyte's a decent 'keep busy' fight, nothing more. He can hardly gain much kudos if he beats a guy who was sparked out already by AJ and ancient Povetkin.
See how the guy sparked out by an old Pov does against the same Wallin that gave Fury a fright night, eh.
It makes no difference. If Whyte destroys Wallin, it doesn't add that much. It doesn't put Whyte in Usyk's league or Fury's.
Nonsense. If Whyte puts away Wallin then Fury has no excuses to duck him. He can be stripped and walk away of course.
He isn't going anywhere. In other news, Dillian Whyte is relative crapola. But I'd happily watch Tyson jab his empty head in and stop him, if Usyk is tied up with Joshua.
Yes he did. But Wallin is still mostly unproven. I have no idea how Whyte will deal with Wallin. But even if he destroys Wallin that doesn't put him on par with Fury or Usyk. It doesn't put him up with them. I'm not saying it wouldn't add something to Whyte's standing, but it's not enough to wipe away Whyte's losses or struggles with other fighters.
If Whyte beats Wallin the wbc are going to order the fight and he will deserve his shot. Fury is the one who can't complain.
