How many ATG heavyweigt champions do you think are still alive?

Tyson, Foreman, Holyfield (longtime Wilder guy - said he was the best heavyweight back in 2019), Vitali, Lewis, Holmes and Bowe. (Holmes hates everyone. Bowe doesn't know where he is and doesn't think Lewis is great.)

And Lewis was on site Saturday night talking about how incredible both were and how incredible all three fights were.

None of the living ATGs have said they (Fury and Wilder) AREN'T. Some have publicly stated they are.

There aren't six heavyweight champions with more heavyweight title wins than he has. You're embarrassing yourself.

If only we lived in a world where beating Dave Allen for the vacant WBA Continental belt (on your third attempt) and making zero successful defenses of it meant something to anyone.

    Take a seat.

    The argument is over.

Wilder fought Fury 3 times yes and failed to win once. He can't even argue he got robbed by the judges in any of the three fights.

Has there ever been another trilogy in boxing where one fighter has been beaten convincingly every time?

When JMM failed to get the W vs Pacman three times it was arguable that JMM won at least one of those fights.

There is a reason why JMM could fight Pacman a 4th time even though officially he didn't win any of the precious 3 fights and that was because public opinion was enough to argue that JMM did indeed beat Pacman prior to the 4th fight.

Wilder floored his challenger Fury twice and successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title against him with a draw in 2018.

Wilder made two more successful defenses of the WBC belt in 2019.

Then Wilder defended his WBC heavyweight title for the SECOND time against Tyson Fury in 2020, and lost his title.

    As I've stated countless times:
    * Andrew Golota didn't win the IBF title when he drew with Byrd. Byrd successsfully defended his title.

    * James Toney didn't win the WBC heavyweight title when he drew with Rahman. Rahman successfully defended the title.

    * Jim Johnson didn't become the second Black heavyweight champion when he drew with Jack Johnson. Jack successfully defended his title.

    * Lennox Lewis didn't win the WBA and IBF belts when he drew with Holyfield, and Holyfield didn't win the WBC belt when he drew with Lennox, they both successfully defended their belts with the draw in fight one.

    * Philadelphia Jack O'Brien didn't win the Heavyweight title when he drew with Tommy Burns. Burns successfully defended the title.

And none of the champs (Lewis, Holyfield, Byrd, Rahman, Johnson or Burns) in those fights above floored their challenger TWO TIMES in those successful defenses, like Wilder did against Fury in fight one.

    * Wilder successfully defended his title against Fury ONCE (in fight one - Wilder's eighth WBC title defense).

    * Wilder defended the WBC heavyweight Title against Fury for a SECOND time (his 11th WBC title defense), losing the title in the rematch.

    * Fury has defended that title against Wilder ONCE. (Fury's first WBC title defense.)

That is what ACTUALLY HAPPENED. That's not my opinion. That's what happened.

When you actually embrace the FACTS, instead of "well I thought" or "In my opinion" and actually accept the results of the three fights, you come around.

You guys bash Wilder for not accepting results ... and many of you can't accept the results yourselves. It's been three years since their first fight. Many of you are still in denial.

I didn't say he didn't successfully defend his title I said he fought 3 times and failed to win one fight and the facts read that the Victor of the trilogy was Fury in convincing fashion.

I'll ask again has there been another trilogy where one fighter has failed to win not only officially but even in the court of public opinion?

Court of public opinion? Maybe you should talk to people outside this board once in a while. A lot of the "public" thought Wilder deserved to win the first fight ... including ATG George Foreman.

No defending heavyweight champion in boxing history floored his challenger two times, didn't go down at all himself, and lost his title via decision.

It has NEVER happened. And it didn't happen that night, either.

If Fury had won the title from Wilder in fight one by decision ... THAT would've been a shock. Because it has NEVER happened before.

It was a great fight and a case could be made for either. That's why the rematch was the highest-grossing gate in World Heavyweight Title fight in the history of boxing.

But when you successfully defend your title with a draw ... and as champion you keep your belt and plan your next defense ... that may not be an "official" win ... it's certainly better than walking away with nothing, like the challenger does.

Wilder made TWO defenses against Tyson Fury and successfully defended his title against Fury in fight one.

Fury wins two of the three and ends the series as the champion ... so he goes down as the series winner to date.

And there have been a lot of series in boxing history where one guy didn't have a win in the first three encounters. But those series went on longer than three fights. This one may continue, too, a few years from now. Neither has retired.

    ATG fighters ... ATG Series.
