Resume? If we're talking resume he's not top 20, an old Wlad and Wilder isn't enough, i'm sorry it just isn't.
He's tantalisingly close to that stage, it is evident he's got the talent worthy of such a tagline yet still needs a shred more on his resume.
He is just not nonsistent enough to be an ATG Fighting Wilder and then Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin ? I can't believe guys let him pass on that but not someone like Whyte or AJ. NOBODY is getting a pass.
Is this a joke? Fury needs to fight AJ, Usyk, Hunter & Whyte to start having that conversation. He doesn’t even need to win all those fights but needs to fight these fighters to be in contention
Sorry, I can't quite put him at ATG status just yet... HOF for sure, but not ATG. If he beats his mandatory (Wallin/Whyte), then beats the winner of Usyk - AJ to become undisputed I'd have him on the cusp of HW ATG... If he then goes on to win the inevitable rematch off the back of that undisputed fight then I can't see any reason not to have him as a firm HW ATG. Bonus points for beating the loser of the Usyk - AJ fight as well, just to cement it all and have the cherry on top.
He ended the Clinhcko era. This is ATG level achievement. 39 year old Wlad beats the crap out of all HWs except Fury and maybe Usyk right now.
6 year Lineal Champ with 7 defences of the Lineal title. Only one of two men to hold every HW belt. Voted Ring Magazine Fighter Of The Year Twice Produced one of the greatest fights in the history of the division. Unbeaten.
I think he's already proven he's one of the best of this era but beating Wilder isn't enough to be regarded as a great. If he beats AJ or Usyk he at worst ends up 2nd best in his era and if he then beats the other then it's irrefutable he's the best of his era and nobody can deny then he's an ATG.
