I personally do, think he's a great character for boxing and has the gift of gab. A lot of people think he's a pompus *****, however. Where does the majority stand?
For me he sometimes tries too hard to be a character in interviews and his promotional banners' organisational structure is terrible (ie home fighters recieving unfair advantages, the likes of Dave Allen getting exposure more dedicated and talanted fighters would cut off their left bollock for. I guess he's alright otherwise. I dont tend to watch his solo interviews anymore, they're too long winded with a lot of talk without ever saying anything we don't already know or is irrelevant / pointless information. Remember the AJ Wilder negotiations for example? "Eddie Hearn says Joshua Wilder negotiations may be a step closer to completion" although thats not really Eddie himself more the media.
Yes I like him. I wouldn't buy double glazing from him* but I like him. *well, I would set out not intending to buy any but by the time he'd finished I'd probably have bought a factory's worth
He’s definitely a bit of a wanker and right now I think DAZN will fail, but in the realm of boxing promoters I think he’s likeable. I like that he can asked awkward questions and if I was a boxer he’s the one I’d want to sign with.
I like him and generally think he’s been good for the sport. I prefer his dad, though obviously never met either ha.
I'm on side with this too. For everything I don't like, there's something I do like about him, even if I don't like to admit it too much. I'd be super careful before I signed a contract with him, because he could talk me into almost anything with his gift of the gab. But once it's signed, I'd be sure he's going to fulfil his end of the deal, which can't be said about all promoters.
I like how he has stuck with Shanny when she lost her World Title last week due to Sadio Mane issues. He is likeable but his recycled sales tactics are really low blows these days.
He’s a salesman doing his job. His job is to polish a product. What salesman doesn’t talk shyte when trying to sell something? As a boxing fan he does my head in and I wish he’d fck off but I admire the hustle.
I like Fast Eddie the same way I like coming home to the missus when she’s rearing to go with a 9 inch strap-on.
He's a wanker but that comes with the territory of being a promoter and selling your product, the two things I hate are the rematch clauses and the oddballs who are "fans" of Eddie and Matchroom as if it is a football team.
I like him. He´s a really good salesman, but I not sure that he will stay in boxing if the times get tough.
Hi Eddie! He has mentioned that he might quit but I don't think his exponentially growing ego will allow for it, he is going for world domination and legacy. Hopefully he doesn't have any De La Hoya type skeletons hiding in his closet, time will tell!
