Tyson Fury is genuinely the best both inside and outside.

You spek of Fury in glowing terms, he has some of these virtues, but also apalling group hate speech he never really owned.
But it is an unsupportable contradiction to praise his ethics, religion, attitude-& both excuse & even endorse cheating.
Why stop fighting direty like fighting on the break? Same reason you do not lie, cheat, juice up: if you win in part due to consciously breaking the rules to gain an advantage, it reduces the value & legitimacy of your wins.

It also is immoral to take glory, money, titles from others who are honest well-intended men-by flagrant cheating.
Notice I do not weigh in on how much Fury does this, I am going by your statements.
There are grey areas re: things like how much holding & often things are survival instincts, struggling to get by.

But you consciously ignore rules like hitting on the break, low blows if you can get away with them, head-butting...
That is not just a bad example, it is bad for the sport & reduces your legacy, not feeling confident enough to avoid trying to fight dirty.

Calm down. he is not.

 

From the outside usyk makes slow plodder look silly. On the inside, yes probably the best.

 

A lot people still cling to Fury's masterclass over Wlad in 2015 and apply that to Fury wholesale without really bothering to evaluate him in the present. But aside from his wins over Wilder (a very limited outside boxer) he's not really looked that great in this regard. He still shows brilliance at times, but he's lost that excellent movement and snap to his shots and has become much more of a brawler/clubbing puncher now. Worse he seems to be falling into fairly predictable rhythms as well.

He got caught and walked into shots way too often against Wilder, and was out-jabbed and out-thought by Wallin at times. Since the only other fighters he fought in that time were no-hopers it doesn't give too much of a strong argument for anyone to claim that he's still the best outboxer in the division, especially now that Usyk has come on the scene.

So personally my pick would be the Feel Deal as best current outside boxer at HW, due to him actually proving it in pretty much all of his recent fights.

 

He has the best personality. On Saturday (9) Fury looked to have gained the upper hand after flooring Wilder in the third round. heavier Fury – landing the cleaner and more damaging blows – who finished the stronger, and the champion had Wilder down once again. Loved the amazing match

 

Usyk has far better straight punches and straight punching combo`s, no comparison, Fury misses far too many punches.

He had a terrible camp. Fury at his best is one of the most skilled hw’s for a man his size

 

I think he leaves quite a few openings in his inside game, is a bit sloppy. I think sharper fighters than Wilder can capitalise. An exhausted Wallin set Fury on his heels in the 12th when he was trying to do to him what he did to Wilder.

This hype he gets from beating Wilder is a bit unreal. Let's wait until he faces a world class fighters that actually has hooks and uppercuts as well and who knows even the basics of defence.

Absolutely. Six years ago, though. He hasn't shown quite the same mobility since. And I think outfighting is what he mostly has to rely on against the other top fighters of the division.
