Espn is dog crap, they obviously only watched usyks heavyweight fights and have no idea what he did at cruiserweight. Yeah i know espn and many people in the boxing industry read these boards so hear me again, espn is pure dog poo poo.

    This is ridiculous.

Fury has his fans and rightly so, but he uses his size advantage.

His footwork is overrated as is his infighting (based on weighing his opponent down). His power is a pure function of his size also.

These lists themselves are arbitrary but Fury shouldn't be on any P4P list

ESPN is extremely American centered. It's already a miracle they have overseas fighters in there.

Usyk was #9 prior to beating AJ even though he should've been # 4 at worst

And they have him at #5 now

    https://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/story/_/id/32386970/pound-pound-rankings-

Sopping Deontay Wilder in their trilogy fight in Las Vegas.
Fury got up from the canvas twice in Round 4, won five of the next six rounds on all three judges' scorecards and then stopped Wilder in the 11th. With his second decisive win over Wilder, Fury moves up two spots to No. 4.

"Fury continues to show that he's not only good, but that he's great," ESPN boxing analyst and two-division champion Timothy Bradley Jr. said. "We've always known that Fury had the mental toughness, especially after he faced Wilder the first time, went down in Round 12 and rose back up like 'The Undertaker.'

"But what he just did on Saturday night, you don't see it often, you really don't -- maybe once every generation," Bradley continued. "His heart, his will, the skill that he possesses. He's a complete package. He has every skill set in boxing, including power, speed, you name it, he can do it all -- and he also has marketability. He can talk the talk, he walks the walk. I can make an argument for Fury to be No. 1."

Oleksandr Usyk also made a big jump after defeating Anthony Joshua on Sept. 25 to win the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight world titles. The victory was enough to convince our panel to put Usyk at No. 5.

Usyk, a former cruiserweight undisputed champion, used his jab to perfection to keep Joshua at bay in a unanimous decision victory.

"Usyk proved he could be a dominant performer in two divisions, which to me gives even more validity in the pound-for-pound rankings," ESPN writer Michael Rothstein said about putting Usyk at No. 6 on his list. "How he handled Joshua opened my eyes as to what he could bring to the heavyweight division -- which is another potentially legitimate challenger to Tyson Fury."

Our panel of Mike Coppinger, Timothy Bradley Jr., Joe Tessitore, Michael Rothstein, Eric Raskin, Andre Ward, Atlas, Nick Parkinson, Ben Baby, Eric Woodyard, Kel Dansby, Bernardo Pilatti, Charles Moynihan and Salvador Rodriguez share their votes.

    The formula
The rankings are based on a descending points system, with a first-place vote receiving 10 points, a second-place vote receiving nine points and so on. A tie goes to the fighter with the highest ranking and then the one with the most votes at that ranking.
Others receiving votes: Gervonta Davis (11), Gennadiy Golovkin (2).

Obviously they are favouring fighters who fight on their network, you can't take it seriously as there's an obvious bias.

Holy ****. I didn't believe a single person could be this incompetent... you've just listed 15. This is ridiculous honestly. Gervonta Davis doesn't deserve a place in top 20 let alone top 10.

I love Fury but he doesn't have the resume to be in top 10 or even top 15.

Josh Taylor shouldn't be below Crawford or Inoue.

Cant ****ing believe they had Usyk at 9th before AJ, holy ****. He become undisputed in possibly the best CW division ever

Usyk at 5 is a joke. He unified the cruisers and jumped up and took almost all the belts at heavy. He should be no lower than 2 on any reasonable list. I happen to think Canelo is overrated but I get it. He makes the big fights. Fury should be on back end of list. Crawford should be lowered no big fights in forever. Usyk, Inoue, Canelo would be my top 3

This. Loma fights on ESPN. When he made Rigo quit Joe Tessitore creamed his pants immediately afterwards and proclaimed Loma p4p #1.

Now, I didnt have a problem with rating him high before and after that fight with Rigo. But to act like that was what put him over the top to solidify his claim as p4p 1, when he beat a 37 year old Bantamweight was too much. It left a bad company man taste in my mouth.

If Crawford was a French speaking African who fought on regionally televised networks ESPN wouldnt even know who he was.
