Mikey needs to retire his head and heart not in boxing anymore. I hate this for him he's a good guy.

Only got to half watch this on DAZN on my phone but glad the Spaniard wasn't robbed.

Did Garcia look like he could've won if it was a 12 rounder?

10 rounds. Even if it was 12 rounds Garcia was getting countered when he tried to pin Sandor on the ropes the counter right hooks and left uppercut were money. Looked like the more Garcia opened up and forced the action he was opened for a right hook or uppercut. That's why he was cautious.

    I highly doubt it.

Martin landed 67% of his punches, while Garcia landed 17% of his punches in the final round.

I don't know dude personally so maybe he should indeed be canonized upon his passing, but from a fan's perspective, he's boxing's equivalent of an arrogant trust fund baby.

Good on the Fresno judges who got it right twice tonight when they might not have (Gonzales being the other) and each time despite an obvious crook among them.

Its very true. Sur Caca.. ever heard of the term?

One thing is the government giving anyone access to its resources, another thing are the average Spanish citizens who despise what they see as lower class leeches in the South Americans.

I have family who were born in Spain, live and lived in Spain.

And this is why I say don’t even waste your time in a tuneup.. Tuneup in sparring for a fight then you would know if you’re ready or not.. Would it have been better for Mikey to lose to this guy or Regis Prograis.. Now he just killed whatever bargaining A-Side power he thought he had..

    Husky Mike shat the bed.
He's won 3 of his past 22 rounds.
He doesn't watch video of opponents or his weight.
I suspect it was 10 rounds instead of 12 b/c Mikey didn't want to exert himself.
The most disappointing 4 weight belt holder ever?
What's he gonna do from here? He doesn't have much of a personality so he can't go full Broner either.
I'm legit surprised how much I dislike Mikey right now and how satisfying tit felt to watch him lose tonight but I am a petty man.

    Wow, Garcia lost!

Didn't see that coming, wonder what that does for his chances of fights with Taylor and others?

NB - I always aid that Taylor and Prograise might have been a decent match up for Garcia when he was active, but going up to 147 and ballooning weight in between fights can't have done him in favours at all.

From what I'm reading though Sandor Martin was actually pretty decent - or was Garcia just that poor? IIRC Martin was hand-picked by Hearn after Prograise fell-through for Garcia, so it was supposed to be a 'gimme'
