Lomachenko would have styled all over and undressed Mikey. Possibly TKO.

Pacquiao would have brutalized, rearranged his face, and stopped him (even the shot Ugas version).

Loma would've no mass'd him. He would've been buzzing around him like a giant Cossack bumblebee all night bamboozling him with speed, angles, footwork and a biblical level of skill which he has never seen anything remotely like before even in his worst nightmares and administered a Nakatani like beating to him. Mikey would've quit on his stool sometime between the 6th and the 9th.

Mikey Garcia would be beaten by Loma, Lopez and especially Taylor.

Mikey should have been prepared properly in the first place. Anyone motivated enough can topple you.

Mikey is an excellent fighter and, by all accounts, a good dude. Nevertheless, I never viewed him as this "special" talent that some seemed to think he was. At 130lbs, Loma would have thoroughly outpointed him to a very clear 116-112 type decision.

Mikey wasn't rusty. He even said after the fight that he wasn't rusty. Mikey's very technical and very good, but also very one dimensional w/ cement feet. He has no other gear. Mikey was not equipped to deal with a dude that was awkward and fleet of foot.

He avoided Lomachenko and Gamboa — 2 guys who are very mobile.

His timing was off. Of course hes going to say he wasnt rusty, but people who watch his fights can tell you there was something off. He looked totally different from the Vargas fight. But at least he didnt make any excuses. He could have easily said he had leg cramps during the fight.

Yeah, I still don't understand why he had to move up like that.

There were a lot of good fights at 135 and 140.

Sure, but it doesnt take away the fact that he was still rusty. Sparring in the gym and all that isnt being in the ring for real. Any fighter in the history of boxing(not named Floyd Mayweather) who has had long layoffs have showed some ring rust in their fights. Styles have alot to do with it as well, but Mikey being a counter puncher by nature, needs to fight 2 times a year at the very least to stay sharp. Mikey will beat him in the rematch.

And what was Vargas? A technically sound boxer with no special effects and no fancy footwork.

Mikey needs to be planted to throw with any sort of real effectiveness. Any mobile opponent will render him ineffective.

And what is Martin? He has skills but no KO power. You get a Mikey who is active and not sitting around for 18 months and we have a totally different fight. If Martin gets Koed next fight what will he be then? A 1 hit wonder?

Mikey from last night would have been very competitive with Regis Prograis. Probably would have won. Rust and inactivity wasn't his downfall. It was Martin being a tricky and awkward southpaw with fast feet.
