Does anyone know how Sky Sports deal with Wasserman Boxing is going to work ? Will Sky Sports show the Wasserman Boxing events in the future ?

Everything Waaserman does in the UK regarding Sky shows has to go through Boxxer.

So they can only place some Wasserman boxers on the BOXXER Shows ? I really hope that Sky Sports could get the UK tv rights to the upcoming Wasserman Boxing events.

Bizzare how the unknown Ben Shalom got the deal over the experienced Kalle Sauerland

It must be the years of international boxing experience he has at aged 27.

Clearly family connections have nothing to do with him getting that role. Nothing whatsoever.

Smith sees him as the new Eddie Hearn. He's hoping that in 10 years time he'll be doing PPVs headlined by the 2024 Olympic Heavyweight champion

No joke it’s apparently due to a presentation he gave to Sky on his plans for boxing.

based on the fact he has not signed one fighter of note and wasserman and Probellum taking the majority of the left overs of
British boxing it sounds like he will be there simply to schedule and organise shows

He looked dreadful in front of the camera at the last show as well. Eddie Hearn is a monumental **** but you can say he doesn't have charisma. This lad was like brick wall

People are mentioning connections, but who are his family?

Just re read my post on topic. I notice i worded it wrong, will re-edit.

Boxxer have exclusivity with Sky for UK shows according to Adam Smith, but are happy to work with other promoters like Wasserman. So Wasserman fighters on Sky UK shows must go through Boxxer.

I am not aware of anythimg stopping Wasserman fighters going on other shows on other platforms, or doing their own deals elsewhere. Would be very surprised if they agreed to anything that would stop them doing so.

I think Sky have deliberately picked a promoter who has a low profile, and want to keep them in the background, so they dont get too powerful and do a Hearn, and leave Sky with nearly all their table. Sky know thry have the platform to do the real promoting and have an actual promoter to filter the other promoters and deal with the creation of shows eg. More like a boxing operations director.

Wasserman own the Sauerland's so I would think they will be looking towards restarting the Super series events (if they are going to appeal to a European market)

I see Ben Shalom said they offered Chisora a deal to fight Highie Fury, but he choose to fight Parker instead. Said they will revisit it, to try make H Fury v Chisora fight early next year.

Sauerland dont own WBSS. it was owned by Comosa AG of which Richard Schaefer was a part of it.

Given Wasserman and Probellum have announced an alliance I think WBSS could start back up. Personally if I was WBSS i would be all over the light heavy division. There is plenty of talent not on multi million deals or the profile they perhaps deserve....

Bivol, Beterbiev, Smith Jr, C Smith, Buatsi, Ramirez, Yarde/Arthur, Jack

Sky without question should have given a shorter term 2 year deal to Wasserman and let Kalle lead the promoting until Boxxer proved themselves with some more low key events
