It was disheartening to watch Mikey last night. Remembering his KO of Dejan and seeing that last night really sucked

Depends on the boxer and how they are built. Some of the 5'10" guys who start off at 130 can easily move up or if you are a freak like pac. People like Garcia or Loma are more technical boxers who can be bothered by the other boxers size. A lot of boxers like Virgil Ortiz and Spence seem to start and end in one division. Too much is made of this multiple weight division accomplishments I agree. Mikey was one of my favorite fighter and would have preferred him to stay at 130-135. It was disappointing.

He’s not too big for 135 though. He’s not even ripped at 135. He simply carries around too much body fat and doesn’t want to diet.

Mikey is done, no point carrying on now, he has made bundles of money but when you turn up to a fight with a body like a middle aged woman who has had 10 children with your little belly hanging over your beltline and depressed looking moobs then it's time to stop fighting..

And before anybody says "Tyson Fury"... NONSENSE, THATS A REAL FIGHTING MANS BODY.

Mikey has had a great career he should retire his heart simply isn't in the sport anymore.

I don't think Mikey's heart was ever really into boxing. Isn't it known that he once said he really isn't into boxing? This was way before the Spence fight. I think for Mikey, his plan was to make money fast in this sport and then leave. That's why you never saw him chase greatness. He was always chasing the money. Not everyone bought his BS, and I'm glad it blew up in his face.

I think Garcia is talented but lazy. He looks out of shape and very slow. Like he put in very little time preparing for this fight.

    Bingo!
Imo Mikey had the skill and talent to compete with anyone 147 lbs and below, but its just like you said, he's undiciplined and his diet is terrible. I realized this when I watched Team Garcia on a live stream driving to Vegas for a non-Mikey fight. Ellie Sechback was recording live on the stream and the whole team stopped by at McDonald's to eat.
There was Mikey Garcia hitting McDonalds hard, and I said to myself, "no Mikey, you should'nt be eating that."

You would think Mikey would live in the Gym since Robert owns a gym, but instead Mikey is out partying and showing off his cars.

He took the cash out money vs Spence to secure his family which is fair enough. However he lost fire after that payday anyway. The Spence fight was always an 80-20 fight in Spences favour.

If Mikey was hungry he should have moved immediately back down to 140 had a tune up against someone like chris Algieri then fought loma.

he was too interested in getting paid big money and not being tied down. But to be honest he is a good example of fighters needing a promoter and to be guided.
