Plant has the worst resume of any "titlist" at SMW in recent memory that I can recall. Like, it's really horrible. He's beaten only 1 person in the top 10 (at the time he fought them), and only 3 people that have been rated top 10-20 ever in their careers.
Plant looks like a very capable boxer in the first 8 rounds of fights but he seems to fall apart. Canelo would have to get injured to lose.
Just as good as some of the other padded records out there. I like the Charlo brothers but their records are quite similar.
Depends how highly you rate Subway Mike Lee, Vincent Feigenbutz, and a shot old Caleb Truax. Uzecat is the only half decent opponent he's beaten and he lost to Lionell Thompson later that year.
Crawford is a weight bully bum.. But that's just false.. Before fighting Canelo, Saunders last legit world level opponent was 3-4 years ago in Lemieux. Saunders looked **** in his last 3 or 4 fights at 168 (not at all a natural 168lber) and won the wbo belt off Shefat Isufi via dodgy Warren-wbo handover. Canelos win over Saunders is pure opportunism... In essence weight jumping - cherrypicking
Most of Canelo's so-called best wins are this in some form. Except Jacobs and maybe GGG. Instead of trying to unify 175, he picked the weakest division in which he could compete.
Plant can box, but his competition has been poor, and his power is subpar. Best win (the Uzcategui win) is aging poorly.
