That's the only boxing show on in Manchester in December Kevin, unless there fighting xmas day . Eddie did say he was putting together a monster card for Xmas. This would certainly bolster what already could be a good event.

Khan last fought 2 years and 3 months ago and counting…once you have had 2 years of inactivity at that age it’s all she wrote in most cases.

I would be surprised to ever see him back in a ring. He has admitted to ducking the Brook fight for years.

Yes by not taking the Brook fight 5 years ago when it was still relevant. Khan has left alot of money on the table in his career. Yes he has made other good purses, but that fight would have been massive. Plus a possible rematch depending on the outcome of the first fight.

He keeps saying he wants to fight again.

Why is his brain not connected to his mouth.

If this fight is done, and rumours Williams v eubank 11th December on ppv (presume Birmingham) could it end up on this card?

I put this fight very firmly in the 'I'll believe it when I see it category'.

I'll never understand why after he signed with Matchroom and had his little warm up fights Khan didn't just fight Brook. At that point, after those wins and pre Crawford fiasco with BOTH Matchroom and Sky giving the fight the maximum promotion it would have been huge in the UK and would have made both of them a lot more money than they have made since in all their other their fights. The winner could have had another big fight, and even the loser if it was competitive could have continued fighting for good money.

That was a brief moment when the fight was still (sort of) relevant to boxing fans and also could have got the Sky/Matchroom machine in gear and it would have delivered a big stadium fight with the massive casual market buying in to it, given a long build up and given the genuine dislike between the two of them.

That's the one key ingredient here. 95% of boxing beefs are at best vastly exaggerated an at worst completely manufactured.

This falls into the tiny % of fights where the two fighters genuinely do hate each other and have real animosity, which goes back years.

Maybe ultimately that's the answer as to why it has not happened. The hatred between them has made genuine and reasonable negotiation so difficult, at times impossible...
