More and more people are starting to see through Hearn’s shyte. He gets rinsed on Twitter these days whereas 2 years ago everyone was loving his no context crap.

People are really beginning to wake up at last - the starting point was his Prize Lump being humiliated and battered by a little fatty in New York.

That was the moment people started to question WTF are we paying for 'ere.

Now he is out of sight out of mind.

Boxing is the start for DAZN not the end. It’s just a low cost entry point into markets where rights that drive subs may become available. It’s no coincidence that they launch just as BT is about to go under.

they will follow the models driven in Italy, Germany and Japan where they have good rights and subscriber numbers.

Currently Dazn have over 10m global subscribers. This is more than the number of households that hold Sky in the UK and they haven’t even started buying major rights yet.

this is reason Sky are so nervy as they will not be able to compete. One is a uk service the other is a global service. DAZNs end game is to have 100m+ subscribers. Sky will never have more than 10-15m as soon as DAZN get a proper foothold with rights the game will be over.

I agree that simply getting BT Sport doesn't guarantee profitability. It would be need to look at what sports rights are actually valuable and which ones they could cut.

I think if possible instead of buying BT Sport they should look at sub contracting the rights from BT Sport. If BT no longer want to participate in the race for sports rights then sub contract from BT until those deals come to an end. Would mean they don't have to buy the whole channel and they could just sub contract the rights to the sports which drive subscriptions.

Out of sight out of mind sums it up.

I've just cancelled mine as they have 3 UK shows between now and the end of the year...

Whyte v Wallin - crap undercard
    Galahad v Martinez - dross
Parker v Chisora - I'll be in Scotland for the Taylor fight

Don't feel like I'm missing out one bit.

DAZN isn't going anywhere but like sky sports boxing will become an after thought filler focussed on regular PPVs to make money.

Although I'm against DAZN PPV considering the whole point was to end the PPVs. I think the induction of it to DAZN will mean the two biggest boxing stars in Caenlo and AJ will be DAZN PPV after Canelo beats Plant and for the next AJ vs Usyk fight.

It's not as easy as that. Sky will always be a major player and with the EPL which is the Golden Crown they will always be prepared to pay whatever it takes.

Covid really hurt DAZN as so many sports rights which were due to go to tender last year and this year didn't. Deals were simply just renewed and locked DAZN out of the possibility of purchasing those rights.

In England you need EPL football, in Australia you need Rugby League. In both countries those rights didn't go to tender and it was clear they launched in both regions at a time they expected the rights to go to tender.

It’s probably being built to sell…the only profit that matters is the one investors make when they sell.

There are debates about whether Uber will ever turn a profit, for example…

They don't have investors like that though. They are not public.

Uber was built to basically kill all competition with low prices and become the only taxi service in town. Then eventually control the driverless taxi service market taking away the need to pay drivers. Those plans went to **** though once government legislation came into play.

Let’s not kid ourselves that Joshua’s stock has dropped greatly. The rematch will sell out any stadium in the U.K.

It's a myth that huge box office star like AJ stops being so popular if they lose.

I don't know why people believe that to be the case? I'm trying to think of huge stars that stop being draws when they lose and I'm struggling to find any?

Does anyone say Connor Mcgregor will no longer be a huge draw for the UFC due to defeats? I doubt it.

If Canelo lost to Plant would he stop being a draw? Of course not.

AJ will continue to draw as long as his in good fights.

Joshua has always been on Sky in the UK.
At the moment, excluding the 2 minute round fights, Kid Galahad is the face of Dazn in the UK. How many subscriptions will that sell?
