He's too much of a stiff to beat Fury.

There was a reason why Wlad didn't (or should I say couldn't) let his hands go.... and it would have been the same in the rematch.

Fury completely befuddled him and it would've happened again.

Nothing indicates prime Wlad would have beaten Fury. Wlads biggest wins are against small HW’s. He has no W on his record similar to Fury (size, Boxing IQ, technique). Actually the only thing we know for sure is Fury beat Wlad in an easy fight on the road.
But please keep writing fantasies like it’s facts. It makes me smile :))

No, styles makes fights and the strategy Fury used to take away Wlad's jab and grab game would always pose Wlad problems even prime Wlad.

But there's 2 unknown factors we can't account for. First the impact of Steward in Wlad's corner who died 3 years before Wlad fought Fury. If anyone could figure a way for Wlad to beat Fury it's Steward, he was able to make McCall beat Lewis and Holyfield beat Bowe, so maybe he can come up with a plan to overcome Fury.

The 2nd unknown factor is Fury himself. As we've seen throughout his career and with his trilogy with Wilder, Fury is wildly inconsistent from one fight to the next. Even if Fury beats Wlad in fight one, I'd give Wlad a good chance to beat a less motivated, less sharp, less in shape Fury in the rematch.

Fury's been a mess since he was 27 and the slower and sloppier he gets the more people heap praise on his fat ass. He should beat Wilder three more times and then retire as the GOAT.

"Prime Wlad" is a myth. He beat up old, short, useless or blown-up cruiserweights in one of the most well-managed and luckiest tenures as a champion. A weak field and bargaining power did wonders for old glass jaw.

His marquee win is David Haye, and that says it all. His skidmarked performance against Povetkin is one of the most disgraceful in history. The guy is a very good boxer - but my goodness, is he overrated.

If Fury could resist Wilder's bombs, why couldn't he resist Wlad's bombs? Fury could get knocked down a few times because prime Wlad had brutal cross and hook. Then, he would recover and outbox Wlad's ears off.

Fury: Fighters can beat me with only one way, knockout. Knockout me or gonna lose!

Meanwhile in the real world prime Wlad ruled heavyweight for a decade and Fury barely managed to slide past Wilder in the third fight.

Wilder would have been somebody described as a can in Wlad's prime.

    :risas3: As if .

A can is Brock, Pianeta, Mormeck, Leapai, Jennings, Pulev, Rahman, Chambers, Wach et al. Practically everyone on the list, in fact, and having to box in Germany on dodgy canvases with dodgy contractual clauses.

Prime Wlad beats him 7/10 times, Wlad was already on the decline when they fought and it was no way a decisive victory for Fury more of a tactical one.

Wlad underestimated Fury , came unprepared for Fury's tactics and was incredibly gunshy because of it. He actually malfunctioned that night like he is prone to doing so when mentally unprepared. Wlad would of probably won the rematch if he was hungry for it.

No shame in losing to a prime Wlad. This is just My opinion

Exactly, as he did against AJ, but let him off the hook.
The fight was won cause Wlad didnt throw enough. And just look at the bigger picture who would have come improved in the rematch??? Yeah, definitely Klitschko. Fury at yhe very best would have come in the same. But we know the story and he would have been way way worst. Damn he was way worst for Wilder 3.

Feels like allot of people here have not actually seen the Wlad vs Fury fight or blanked it from their memories and replaced it with one of the Rocky movies.

For some reason people think Fury schooled him, when in fact he just danced around a bored old Wlad.
